    I once accidentally launched myself to obscene heights in the middle of a city using my mount. I was too mortified and panicked to enjoy the experience.

    My mount is awesome because it's a low-fuss high-performer. No bells and whistles, just a sleek, smooth, fast ride.

    I love ramp jumping my mount, it's so silly and fun.

    My beautiful palomino mare is awesome because she
    - doesn't sprinkle droppings on the ground behind her as she runs.
    - doesn't explode in an obnoxious neon cartoon display when summoned.
    - fits wonderfully into a medieval fantasy world without having to wield 'look at me!' flash.

    My mount is awesome because it is a plain realistic horse that doesn't explode or light up or do anything other than take me where I need to go.
