Skills confusion

Hello everyone, I open this discussion cause I have a couple of question on two skills and I hope someone here can help me to understand.

First is Deadric Summoning skill line, there is a passive that is called Daedric protection. I would like to know if I have Bound Armaments on my back bar and i have the knives around me, do I have the 5% percent damage reduction from the passive? Cause logically in that case the ability is active as the tooltip says.

Second is about Living Death skill line. Mortal Coil in my tooltip says that it should heal me for 21.366 over 12 seconds. The problem is that it just heals me for 1.211 healing per second, so 14.532 over 12 seconds (plus few crit), way below the number on the tooltip. It is a bug or I'm missing something?

Hope someone can help me,
Thanks in advance for the answer!

Daedric Summoning: Even if backbarred, if the skill is active (running) then yes the passive gives 5%.

Mortal Coil: If you are in a PvP zone with Battle Spirit it will be healing for less than the tooltip shows.

Never get involved in a land war in Asia - it's one of the classic blunders!

It does not. Bound Armaments swords are the passive part of the ability, the active part is when you fire them. Any other daedric summoning ability with a duration (daedric curse, bound aegis morph, ward) or having a pet out activates it. Its hard to track because it does not show in the buff tracker.

Mortal Coil ticks 2 times per second and from my tests it heals roughly the amount the tooltip says (usually more, due to crits)

Thank you all for the answers, now is way clearer, and I notice that if it ticks every 0.6 seconds it actually reaches the amount of healing of the tooltip.

I have another question: I used Druid's Resurgence to Wield Soul and it says that it restores 600 magicka and 600 stamina, but is there a cooldown on it? Or there isn't any cooldown?

    Thanks again!

As far as I know it doesnt have a cooldown, it restores resources anytime you hit the enemy or ally (with healing or shielding version). The limiting factor is the high cast cost.
