Can the pinned posts be cleaned up?

I can't be the only one who's getting a bit annoyed by the 20+ pinned posts on the homepage, some of which are already several years old. Would it be possible to reduced this amount to, say, the four most important ones? Alternatively, could the interface be restructured so that users don't have to scroll down to see the latest posts? For example, the pinned posts could be placed on the right or left side of the interface, or there could be a toggle to hide them.

You can hide them by clicking on the cog on mobile, that’s what I did.

    Lately they’ve been stacking up.

Yeah 21 out of 50 threads are pinned. And some of them can be safely archived. ie.. the u45 and u46 specific threads, the survey from last Feb, three of the four WW threads could be merged into the existing WW Consolidated, etc..

I have been meaning to ask the same for a while now. There's so many stickies that I find it difficult to know when a new one appears

We don't seem to have this on desktop. I'd love to be able to hide threads.

Oh my god, that worked, thank you! I never would have thought to click on the mail icon!

Sadly the mail icon is only a mail icon in Edge, clicking on it only opens the post.

You have to hover over the mail icon for a bit, then it changes to the gear. I was confused by that, too.

Seems to change quite quickly in FireFox. But the tip is GREATLY appreciated!

Sadly not for me - I have tried clearing cache and a number of other techniques upto and including DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth followed by sfc/scannow

To be honest this seems excessive when all it needs is the content owner to do a little spring clean....

We could for sure get rid of the overland thread and just give it its own subforum.

The developer feedback threads could be consolidated into one master feedback thread with links to the existing threads.

Don’t think that needs a sub forum

I wish they would get rid of the Overland thread. Now that they have announced they are working on a difficulty option what more is there to discuss?

When their feature hits the PTS then it would be more appropriate to discuss it in the PTS forum. And when it goes live, it would be more appropriate to discuss it in the Update pinned thread. Until that time there is really nothing new that can be brought to the table.

After 4 years it has way outlived its welcome.
