Deadric Anvil Lead not dropping correctly

After 300+ kills on Ghishzor in the ritual site arena I can confidently say that the drop rate for the anvil lead is not functioning correctly. You expect me to believe that after 300 kills, yes I counted, no im not exaggerating, that to fully unlock this antiquity im supposed to farm this lead 3 t8me with a drop rate thats either bugged to be this low or just not dropping?

Yes im frustrated after being strung in circles by the ai support bot that insists nothing is wrong without having a person check how could you tell.

Me and my firends in PC-EU got it within 3 kills each. Seems to be working fine on that server

How did u managed 300+ kills of this ***? We surely needed 10 mins with 3 people for only one.
But anyway, first drop was the daedric anvil lead. PC EU, german version.

Which is kind of typically for a first lead of something in my experience, at least since west weald. Second leads are something different, but i find it astonishing if someone don't find it within a few attempts.
No offense, but did u check ur leads? Overlooked some findings myself in the past.

If you pull him onto the staircase you can avoid the wall mechanic entirely. To make him soloable i slotted ring of the pale order and reaving blows for self healing.

He respawns every 5 minutes and takes about 2 to kill solo and I've done nothing but farm him for 3 days now, work and sleep breaks are the only reason im not at 600 tbh.

So let's say the drop rate is 5% since zos hasn't to my knowledge explicitly stated the rate. The odds of losing a 5% roll 300 times in a row and growing are, if my math is correct, 0.0000216%.

I dont see that as possible to not be bugged.

As for checking my leads, yes I have and no offense taken.

1) You are killing Ghizor in the far east not the one next to the Fellowship camp?

I had originally thought something was up and sent a support request but got a typical "well chance means you could technically get this unlucky so its working as intended" so that made me think the chance must be really low. But if its 75-100% and failing 300 times my math is way off lol

So naturally with that info I wanted to do the math..... 1.96 × 10^-181%..... holy crap

Yep, so the difference between you and the others here who have got it is platform. Sounds like the drop rates on XBOX are borked.

I'd suggest move on and wait for a fix. If you are in desperate need of an antiquity BS station, there is the Ayelid one and the one from Wrothgar.

Not what you want to hear I'm sure, but as someone who spends eons on codex getting trust me it will save your sanity.

Also: Suggest you put the server in your opening post to highlight it.

One More Thing: ZOS patch notes don't always list everything. So after an update I suggest a couple of kills of boss. If it doesn't drop it probably hasn't been fixed.

For me it was a completionist and house decorator desire. Definitely going to move on for now till they fix it. I really appreciate the info mate thank you

I'll definitely try that when able. The west one needs more than one person so ill have to try it during peak hours

Worth a shot. It's possible they linked the wrong loot table to the wrong Ghizor.

I can confirm that after having farmed Ghishzor for countless hours on PN/NA, the lead has not yet dropped for me, and for countless others witch I exchanged with in chat zone chat.

Agreed, same issue on PS NA. Most people either get it very quickly or not at all with few in between. I have killed it over 100+ times myself without the lead dropping and I have definitely confirmed that I am fighting the right boss and do not already have the lead. It does feel glitched for some but not all people like the Skyshard glitch currently. Please investigate as it is incredibly frustrating.

Also can confirm (PS/NA). I am killing the correct boss in the correct location 70+x with no drop. I feel like I wasted so much time farming something that’s bugged!! Please investigate!

Thank you to everyone who has reported this, and for your patience while we looked into it. We have confirmed that the Daedric Anvil lead drop rate from Ghishzor isn't as high as we originally intended and this is a bug. It will be fixed in a future incremental patch in January, and we are adding this to the known issues list for Update 48. In the meantime, if you would like to improve your chances at getting the lead to drop, then completing the "Aide/Agent/Specialist About Solstice" achievements will increase your odds.
