Every time something like this comes up, I think: Why don't you post a notice IN-GAME? At the start, or as a pop-up in between, whatever... It works for advertising, events, or server downtime announcements, doesn't it?
You obviously always assume that ALL players will check the forum to find out what disaster is looming today.
In my opinion, information in the launcher is not enough either. Especially since it often doesn't work as intended, such an important notice can easily be overlooked there.
I don't know what kind of bug abuse we're talking about, but it wouldn't be the first time that players, especially inexperienced ones who are not yet familiar with TESO and its traps, would certainly benefit from not falling into one.
There is no information about this on the EU servers yet (except for a link from a player who happened to discover this message in the English international forum).

Kappachi✭✭✭✭✭explaining the exact exploit could give you the means to try and play around and figure out an additional method to do said exploit. if permanent bans are being handed out then it could be things like invulnerability/crashing players/item/gold duplications/very bad things in an MMO landscape.Edited by Kappachi on 7 November 2025 07:593 -

Everyone surely understands that this is not documented by ZOS in any way, and why.
The point was that the information is ONLY available in the forum. Information about problems that could lead to an account ban in the worst case should reach all players, including those who do NOT read the forum.
