🔸 Entries open to PC-EU and PC-NA houses.
🔸 Set visitor permissions to open access (limited visitor or visitor) by the deadline.
"Limited visitor" permissions allow people to interact with built-in doors but prevents trolls from tampering with lights and player-placed doors. We advise you use this setting and create "reveal" effects with placed doors or items rather than interactable doors, but "Visitor" permission is of course allowed and the choice is yours.
🔸 House does not need to be set as primary.
🔸 Any house size is accepted.
🔸 Each person can only enter 1 house.
🔸 Entry is your own unique work. (no copy of other people's homes, or commissioned designs)
🔸 House can have participated or placed in previous contests.
🔸 House can be participating in other ongoing contests.
🔸 No editing of the house whatsoever after the deadline. If an issue blocks visits, contact @Lilarna in DMs.
🔸 EHT FX will not be judged.
🔸 "Beginner mode" is for players who have never won or placed in top #5 in a housing contest yet. On top of that, beginners can only have participated in 2 housing contests maximum prior to entering this contest. (screenshot contests do not count)
🔸 "Challenge mode" is for experienced players who do really well in contests and win or place high regularly.
🔸 If you're uncertain which category to enter, please contact @Lilarna in DMs.

Hiya, a question about the theme: how abstract can we be with our interpretation? For instance, would a seaside resort (where a pirate might go to spend their ill-gotten gain) might be considered pushing it? Thanks!

    Hi there Jaimeh!
Well, I would say that the most important with that is that the house needs to have a visible connection to the theme.

Judges will take this into consideration for the following criteria (that counts for 10 out of 55 points total):
🔹 Theme Interpretation: Build aligns with theme clearly or cleverly. Abstract or symbolic takes are welcome. (0 to 10)

It will also be taken into consideration for the round of preliminary judging.

For example, an abstract take to Treasure could be a place with gold trinkets floating all around, Pirates could be a giant sheet of paper with the Pirate Code, I don't know.

If your seaside resort contains clear elements indicating that Pirates come there often, if there's pirate flags, if there's lore books that touch on piracy (there's a few listed here: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Shalidor%27s_Library), if there's a bar with barrels and fish nets and a shark trophy and "Bottles o' Rum", and more indicators like that, then the judges will see the connection. These are all just examples of course and the house doesn't necessarily need to have that "touch" all around.

Also, usually just writing down the connection in the text description in the form will not be enough to "convince" the judges if it doesn't really show in the house.

I hope I've answered, do let me know if you need any clarifications.

PS : the Theme is "Pirates, Thieves OR Treasure" so it can be just one of those three themes of course.
