I Just Somehow Found Myself In Eastern Solstice

I did a Travel To Player on a guild mate in Solstice and somehow ended up at a wayshrine in Eastern Solstice. PC-EU. I figured this can't be right and immediately left for fear of getting banned for hacking or something. But maybe the guild mate was in Western Solstice but technically closest to a wayshrine in Eastern Solstice rather than one in Western Solstice? So i got teleported to Eastern Solstice wayshrine, despite a still intact Writhing Wall separating us. Not sure of what calculation put me in Eastern Solstice, but just letting you know this happened...

Yesterday there was more people in than out honestly, port shrine proximity works as usual in this game. Best they can do is to open it now with no extra hoops, apologize for a delay and move on.

Tbh with quest objectives and lead dig sites appearing on the other side, this has been a monumental mess (and what really sad is that a lot of these things should have been anticipated) so they should at least just shorten the event so we can move on. The overwhelming feeling in the community is that it's not enjoyable so dragging it out, especially in light of these bugs makes no sense.

Sadly I do recall seeing mentions of those exact (back then just potential) issues dating months back, so it's a usual "not a priority" issue until live fires up.

They definitely still could turn it around, skipping phase 2 and making phase 3 a dungeon only after which you'd unlock your zone, which is already accessible and being accessed by a lot of folks already. People have paid for it and it's sits behind a ridiculous event that community ultimately hated, people do not want to participate simply as that and the more days it's dragging the worse it gets for the company overall in the long run.

Just apologise, say that's an old team who's out of touch and open zone up for other people who haven't used any "exploits" or just accessed it naturally that way (it's extremely easy to get there by sheer accident as conditions are too common, for solid 5 mins I wasn't even aware I was in a different zone running on autopilot partially afk lol).

If porting to another player is an exploit, then we are all in big trouble. This event does seem to have more than its fair share of bugs for sure. What they should do is switch off access to all wayshrines in eastern Solstice, which should have been done already, by now I know of many people who have explored the entire zone allegedly! Either that or just rbing the wall down or allow access so that we can attack from both sides!

If they knew about it then it's even more contemptible, because they are willingly subjecting players to issues with quests and antiquities for a few weeks (having to drop the quests and re-scry the leads, and so on) when it could have been avoided. I agree, that they should do something about the timing of the event, and somehow find a way to turn this around because it's rapidly depleting the good faith of the community.

I wonder if this would work for people who don't even own solstice lol.

I think I'll just wait til the zone goes on sale next year rather than try and find out.

ZOS should’ve just not patched the game until one of the servers on the platform breaks the wall. These incidents with eastern solstice (dailies, leads, being able to port through AND QUEST) make the already not good event look that much worse. My disappointment is immeasurable.

Have you logged in and out of the game yet? Just asking as the hotfix may require you leaving and hopping back in before the changes take. If you have done that, I can flag this for the team and have them take a look.

I know she's trying to be funny, but Gina's patch note (linked above) referring to players getting into Eastern Solstice early as "naughty" and "cheating" is leaving a bad taste for me. A ton of people in my guilds found themselves in Eastern Solstice entirely by accident: either they fell through the world thanks to ZOS's "brilliant" game design and ended up there, or they ported to someone in Solstice and found themselves on the wrong side of the Wall. A lot of them didn't even want to be there yet.

(And, personally, I'd argue it's not all that "naughty" to gain entry to content we already paid real money for as long as people aren't doing anything to harm others. It's not like those players were smashing a real wall and breaking into a bank here.)

It seems very tone-deaf to be "jokingly blaming" players for ZOS's own screw-up. Especially over something that was already as controversial as Content Pass-related material. Unfortunately, that seems to becoming more and more par for the course with ZOS, though it's always been present to an extent. (Remember how often the devs have blamed players "hoarding" for system bloat, even though it was ZOS themselves who put in place such a system to encourage hoarding behaviors?)

To me the "naughty" remark was just a reminder of being an idiot for not exploiting it further and actually having some fun, can get back to the game in a month or so when the event ends though for a new zone... That's already there.

Id go as far too say ive been cheated by these devs. Shoddy work for something they proclaimed to be so grand and once in lifetime

Gina has been out of touch with real players for awhile now. Blaming us for their mistakes has become a given. I'm over the wall event. When they did the preview on twitch, I knew this was going to be a poopshow and said so, I've been playing since Beta and have seen alot of things go wrong, but kept my opinions to myself, But this event, which I had originally looked forward to, has left me angry, and no game should make a person angry. It's suppose to be fun, not make a person think about quitting because these things just keep happening with us not being listened to, or just out and out blaming us for the problem. Get your house in order ZOS.
