Why are there no merchants at the camp?

Both rampart camps, at the Stirk island and Solstice have pretty much the same things to offer, except the Solstice camp also gives the defend camps quest. I have an alt account with no ESO+ so I need to rely on merchants for selling stuff, repairs and getting style stones. I noticed the Stirk island camp has no merchant available. Same goes for the camp in Solstice.

Why are there no merchants at those camps? Seems like an oversight, especially when one of the quest types is a crafting quest where style materials are needed.

They don't repair gear. It seems a silly oversight to have to port to Sunport. People are easily irked.

Yes. Not so much on my main account since I do have a merchant assistant. But on my alt acco I have no ESO+, no assistants, just the base game and it is a bit of an annoyance to port in and out of the island just to visit a merchant. Because of no craft bag, I run out of style materials and such, and need to sell inventory.

For my Alt account I've (main Acc) set up a house in a zone Alt doesn't have. Right by the door I have a banker, merchant and armoury. There's crafting tables close by too.
Alt ports in, sells and banks then walks out the door back to where they were.
I send a mail linking the house so it's just a case of going to mail, click on the link then I'm off. If you don't have the assistants yourself the home tour system offers solutions too.

That's a great workaround! Thanks for the tip!

Favoriting the house on the alt works too. That way you don't have to keep refreshing the e-mail.

Also, this is the text string you can type into the chat box to get any house you know someone owns (and has open permissions):
    |H1:housing:HOUSENUMBER:@USER|h|h

So to get access to my Snugpod on PS/NA, you'd type
    |H1:housing:13:@allochthons|h|h

The house numbers can be found here on UESP.

I am hoping that after the Writing Wall event ends, they add Daily Writ crafting boards and the turn-in site to the Siege Camp location!
It would be a great place to do daily writs.
