Were you able to successfully get into large-scale battles?
Yes, PC EU. AD zergling reporting in o7
Did large-scale battles feel better latency-wise and how combat feels (responsive or not, fun or not, etc.)?
No comparison to live Cyro because this was my first week in AvA. I had a lot of fun, everything was responsive. No problems bar swapping, breaking free or using the quick slot items. Played every evening last week, can't wait for the next one in December.
What you think of the simplified abilities?
I liked not having to level skill lines to try different setups. I did miss some morph choices on NB - like the ranged class execute.
Did any of your characters become ‘corrupted’ (...)?
    No.
What are your initial thoughts on Vengeance Test?
Very fun at first, after a week it's still fun but siege felt too dragged out. Maybe it's because of the infinite siege weapons. Also, everyone is just really tanky. Good for slow-paced learning, but I can see where the complainers are coming from.
Do you have any general feedback?
I liked it, but there is room for improvement:
    • Add Yakety Sax bgm override to towers.
    • Sustain was just bad. Leeching Strikes made it bearable. Hiding and spamming it to get magicka was awkward.
    • Mistakes should be a little harder to recover from. Letting my defense buffs fall off and ignoring my health bar should have killed me more times than it did.
    • Add recall stones for the next test.

Now I've played more than a few days in this iteration:

Were you able to successfully get into large-scale battles? YES

Did large-scale battles feel better latency-wise and how combat feels (responsive or not, fun or not, etc.)?
Yes and no. On PCNA it was ok on PCEU I was getting skills not firing and on both sides my staff ulti never went off. I lie, it went off once. There seemed to be serious delay on some skills but I never figured out if it was the skills or random

What you think of the simplified abilities? LOVE, no busted cheese crap like in non-vengence cyro. But FFS fix range.

Did any of your characters become ‘corrupted’ if they leave Cyrodiil mid battle, lost connection, got booted, hit lag, etc? If you encounter character corruption, please provide the following feedback when using /bug in-game. NO - all good

What are your initial thoughts on Vengeance Test? EXCELLENT. Just running around and being able to fight whomever was awesome.

Do you have any general feedback? Fix Range. Staff is seriously useless. Also looks like healing was boosted on groups a bit but hard to say. The skill delay was random but maddening. Maybe it was the ocean distance but its crazy making and didn't happen the first two tests. Loved the seige. Everyone was using it, even noobs. Normally no one does because its too expensive.

    • Were you able to successfully get into large-scale battles?
Played most evenings but only saw one big battle with all three factions.

    • Did large-scale battles feel better latency-wise and how combat feels (responsive or not, fun or not, etc.)?
Tri-faction fight (Sat ~8:45EST at Ash, PCNA) was playable but very choppy some of the time with stuttering frames and music. Venturing into the breach with a ton of siege and skills aimed at my head was like walking into a stop-motion film with more stop than motion.
Two faction fights were mostly fine, just 2-3 second freezes here and there, maybe once every few minutes.
Definitely better than regular Cyro. Not as good as the first Vengeance test, but I never felt like it was unplayable.

    • What you think of the simplified abilities?
As a mostly melee brawler I'm fine with simplifying skills, although right now a lot of skills feel useless for anything other than tagging enemies for assists. I think most of the skills would feel better if players were less tanky and healing wasn't so high.
Even so, small scale fights felt much more fun than with the first test, after I got some help with a Vengeance-specific build.

    • Did any of your characters become ‘corrupted’ if they leave Cyrodiil mid battle, lost connection, got booted, hit lag, etc? If you encounter character corruption, please provide the following feedback when using /bug in-game.
    No.

    • What are your initial thoughts on Vengeance Test?
I appreciate Vengeance as a means to make Cyrodiil more approachable and have better performance, both of which it clearly needs to thrive.

As for Vengeance in it's current state... it can be really fun when a lot of players are online, but it only works well with equal numbers (since there's not much counterplay for being outnumbered, nothing to do solo while you wait for more people to log in, population gaps are even wider than normal due to higher pop caps, etc). It's a drag to test something meant for zerg-vs-zerg when no zergs show up... or only one does.

    • Do you have any general feedback?

-It's fun to be able to group up with strangers and know you'll be able to accomplish something. In regular Cyro PUGs are useless against ball groups so it often feels like there's no point playing solo or with PUGs, it's comped group or bust.

-I don't miss ball groups but I do miss gankers and bombers lol. They add a bit of spice.

-Guards are too OP. Obviously they're fine when you're with a group but there weren't always enough players for multiple groups this time. Only having enough players online to defend a single keep from a more populated faction, and not being able to spare enough people to uncut RSS because no one can solo them, is pretty lame.

-I played Cyrodiil for a stupidly long time before I noticed about low pop bonuses. I'm not even sure how the game teaches you about it since I clearly missed it, but maybe make it more obvious. Might help encourage balanced populations if newer players know about it from the get-go.

Were you able to successfully get into large-scale battles?

One or two. Mostly not because without the usual bribes of GP the population was really low.

Did large-scale battles feel better latency-wise and how combat feels (responsive or not, fun or not, etc.)?

Skills took a while to fire. There's really no combat. It's just zerg v zerg. Either you have numbers or you don't.

What you think of the simplified abilities?

    They suck.

Did any of your characters become ‘corrupted’ if they leave Cyrodiil mid battle, lost connection, got booted, hit lag, etc?

    No.

What are your initial thoughts on Vengeance Test?

You ask this like you intend to make it a campaign instead of the test it's supposed to be. I don't want vengeance as a campaign.

Do you have any general feedback?

Without the bribes there was low pop. This round was super boring. I didn't even bother to go for as many days as last time.

    • Were you able to successfully get into large-scale battles? Yes, although many of the battles were smaller in round 3 versus round 2 of vengeance testing (lower number of folks participating PS/NA).
    • Did large-scale battles feel better latency-wise and how combat feels (responsive or not, fun or not, etc.)? I enjoyed the large battles. I didn't struggle with latency and the combat felt fun to me.
    • What you think of the simplified abilities? They worked fine for me and my play style.
    • Did any of your characters become ‘corrupted’ if they leave Cyrodiil mid battle, lost connection, got booted, hit lag, etc? No
    • What are your initial thoughts on Vengeance Test? I play in Vengeance test when it is available because it is fun for me. I feel like I can contribute in Vengeance campaign to a group goal (defend keep, take keep, capture farm, etc.) Otherwise, I stay out of Cyrodiil except during Mayhem event, where I only stay long enough to get my daily ticket. The instant kills, and unkillable organized groups that farm players not in organized groups in regular Cyrodiil make it not fun for me.
    • Do you have any general feedback? I am disappointed that this round of Vengeance testing was scheduled at the same time as the Undaunted event. I missed most days because I only had an hour or so to play that day and was busy doing Undaunted stuff with other players.

Vengeance is a waste of our time and money. Cut your losses ASAP. Throw vengeance into the bin and flush it where it belongs.

Every morning the same s.., everything yellow...
Sorry, but when the maps (overnight, always yellow) you have to play blue and red against yellow...
I'm not having any fun at all these days, always fighting with 3-4 people against overwhelming yellow...
It's definitely fun to wait for the red or blue attacks as yellow... (irony off)
Locked campaigns are for the ABCD....

I'd like to play ESO as a "non-pro" gamer, but it's no longer fun like this. There are too many who destroy everything with 2-3 actions... I don't understand how you can do so much damage, but I do almost no damage to them...?!?
LTP is no good at my age!

This feedback thread is for Vengeance test campaign not for GreyHost or other regular campaign. In Vengeance your skills would do the same dmg as the skills from everyone else, in normal campaigns they scale with your offensive stats and you need good build for your actions to matter. You should either get a good build from some programer or wait for next Vengeance test in 3 month.

    Delayed Vengeance test 2 feedback
Were you able to successfully get into large-scale battles?

Yes, there were less large scale battles than the first 2 tests but more than on GreyHost.

Did large-scale battles feel better latency-wise and how combat feels (responsive or not, fun or not, etc.)?

Large scale battles felt more responsive and fun than on life but less than in first 2 tests.

What you think of the simplified abilities?
While some of the ability’s on life got overloaded with too many effects and should be simplified ability’s in Vengeance got over-simplified too much.
Some skills lost all identity, flames of oblivion for example while a useful buff isn’t similar to life version, it should throw fireballs again and give away 20s major berserk to currently too weak molten armaments.
AOE caps should be removed for dmg and debuffs on enemy’s while aoe cap for heals, shields and buffs should stay if the skills don’t get converted to singletarget which I would prefer for most of them.
Vengeance MagDeto isn’t useful for bombers and needs a rework/buff enabling bombers to bomb solo.
Fighters and Mages guild ability’s didn’t change very much other than adding counter to cloak and few more options but combat felt much like last test.

Did any of your characters become ‘corrupted’ if they leave Cyrodiil mid battle, lost connection, got booted, hit lag, etc?

    No character got corrupted

What are your initial thoughts on Vengeance Test?

I like better performance and everyone being able to compete including starters with fights being decided by your actions during fight not by having better build before fight starts. Still many regular PvPers were in Vengeance and found ways to outplay others.
I also like absense of ballgroups.

Do you have any general feedback?

With undaunted event and golden pursuit and no Vengeance golden pursuit nor campaign reward nor low pop/score bonus there was less time and reward to play Vengeance than GreyHost. Vengeance was still more active than normal PvP but less than first two tests. This must be included in evaluation.

Players should be able to setup more than 1 siege per type to help outnumbered faction with fewest players setup enaugh siege to defend keeps like 2 players placing 5 oil above maingate.
Ballistae should hit players hard like coldfire ballistae.

Initial thoughts: why? why take away everyone's build to force them into a cookie cutter style of play? I don't want to hear its a test, we have a PTS for that.

Lol, this meta forced everyone to play the same way. At least here, you can actually choose different build options, and they're all more or less effective.

I like this mode because it's just fair. There's no way your attacks won't deal damage to your opponent, and your opponent's attacks won't kill you with a single hit. It's because you want to play in your own style, not the meta's. What should I do if I want to play PvP but don't like any of the builds? All these meta builds make the game feel dull. Fortunately, this mode fixes that. It's nice to see that your victory over your opponent is solely your own achievement, and not the result of your unbalanced build.

Post Vengeance I have been getting kicked out on a regular basis now. The ping does not jump but I just get kicked to PVE.
What has changed? Booted from Server And here I am back in the queue.
I get back in after being in position 23, 30 minutes later, get back in. Run to a combat zone, nothing is moving I am zipping around.
Freeze and I am booted again.

Very frustrating. After the first vengeance, performance was so much better!

Were you able to successfully get into large-scale battles?
    Yes

Did large-scale battles feel better latency-wise and how combat feels (responsive or not, fun or not, etc.)?
Maybe slightly, but there were still some lag-spikes sometimes.

What you think of the simplified abilities?
Extremely boring and totally ruining the whole combat feel of the game

What happened to trigger the corruption (leave Cyrodiil mid battle, lost connection, got booted, etc)?
Happen twice, both times while on Meat Bag Catapult, strayed out of it for the rest if the Vengeance and no issues wse.

What are your initial thoughts on Vengeance Test?
If it's just a performance test, or even an event it's fine. But it would get boring and ruin the whole PvP experience if it was an everyday thing since it strips off all of the flavor of unique ESO PvP.

Do you have any general feedback?
In cases where hardware can not handle a software, you should not downgrade the software but upgrade the hardware.[/b]
Use the data to see what needs fix it, but for the love of all that is holy do not simply the PvP to this monstrosity.
It's fine as an PvP event, hell you can even make us all look like simple faction soldiers for added flavor, but this should not be the future of PvP.

The next time vengeance is mandated with no alternative to play real PvP I plan to uninstall ESO.

No reason to stick around if ZOS is going to take away the reason I log on in the first place.
