I was just on a different character and the note is there.
Signed into another character and it is not?
Haven't done the quest either 😔

I am on my main doing Solstice for the first time and the note is not there, only the quest giver Squire Albec.

I am here because I'm doing The Stubbornness of Nords and I just read this in the Bugs section:

"Moving from the second step (Talk to Britt the Bold) to the third step (Talk to Speaker Hialf) causes the lorebook Reward for Missing Steed! to vanish from the game."

Welp, bug confirmed. The book is gone.

This irks me to no end. One of my favorite parts of the game is the lorebooks, but it's really frustrating that book after book after book are impossible to find. Why put them in the game in the first place, then?

Well, turns out that abandoning the quest The Stubbornness of Nords (that I had almost finished

) makes the book magically reappear.

Good luck finding the book if you already finished that quest.

Nooo I already did that quest!

Since some quests have related books pop up after completion I went ahead and finished tbe Honor quest hoping the book would materialize but it did not. . . Possibly it is just gons forever.

@ZOS_Kevin this thread seems to be the most specific troubleshooting of this particular lore page, not sure if that had gotten passed along but it might be helpful.

Yes.
ESO confirmed back in 2016, I already completed the Quest in Solstice and that's why that Missing Steed Page isn't there.
I'll look for the response in my email and post it.

It's probably because there is another quest named Honor Bound in Deshaan.

Howdy,
On another note for Eidetic Memory Books,
Right after Telvanni dlc, any new ones that came out after that, I started using the "ESO Eidetic Memory", website to make sure I complete my book search.
Whelp, guess I'm throwing in the towel on these stupid books folks.
Zerith-var's post quest had a major flaw in it and I didn't know it.
When you get inside this tomb (Khenarth's Rise) I guess, there's supposed to be a bunch of pages and a book inside but, they weren't there when I did it.
You are able to go back to this place but, there isn't poop there.
Zerith-var's third quest "The Dark Behind the World", after talking to people in Pa'alat, I think, u get a page, u read it and when you're finished with the quest, it's laying on the ground in case you didn't read it.
ESO can alleviate all these Eidetic Memory issues if they would just put the damn books etc. outside the quests that have been completed.
I remember tagging along with a friend on a post quest to get a book and NOW, they won't let you do it.😡
So, guess that's it for me.
ESO won.
