Please, no. Don't do that! We already have enough of this "leave-the-game-to-play-the-game" nonsense, and it's enough! What about asking ZOS to keep players inside the game instead of outside of it?

Yeah, they're usually about Discord-exclusive things like Avatar Decorations and other profile things. Or the new Discord orbs. Having an ESO-related discord quest would be nice if they made the Ouroboros an avatar decoration.

Discord quests are not quests in the ESO sense as far as I’m aware… it’s more just advertising for games. “Play x hours of y game or watch a video and get z discord reward!”. People who don’t use discord don’t miss out because the most of the time, the rewards are in discord (like a profile decoration).

How about this, instead of ZOS wasting time and resources working on Discord stuff, maybe they should focus on fixing their own game?
Seriously, ZOS shouldn’t be doing work for others. They should be using that time to fix all the nonsense we’re dealing with in the game right now.

But yeah, I can really see that happening if more people ask for it.
I can totally see ZOS spending their time adding that instead of using it to fix quests, bugs, or anything that actually needs fixing.

I don’t imagine it’d take time and resources from the people who are in roles that’d relate to fixing the game. It’d probably be the marketing department working out some contract with Discord. That said, I don’t know how much money it’d take and I’m not arguing in support of discord quests. Just sharing what they are to those coming across this thread who don’t know. I never do them and I’m not sure it’d 1) be good enough value advertising for ESO and 2) if people who join through discord quests would even stay and 3) if the average kind of people who do discord quests are even the kind we’d want in the game. So, probably would be a waste of money but what do I know.
