Make all staffs channel. Just add a fire and ice animation stream. Lightning and resto's have a clear advantage for no clear reason. Or remove the channel features from all.

There are benefits to not having a channeled heavy attack. When I was a healer, I much preferred ice over lightning or restro for roaring opportunist.

Or just add a new passive, if learned, converts all staff HA into channel -> everyone happy

    All channels, I'm in favor.
    No channels at all? Against.

Not being able to pre-cast heavies would be very problematic for both RO and heavy attack burst sets.

I think that's part of the point. In PvP no one enjoys being burst down, and in PvE channels feel better because you're doing more consistent damage.

I like this idea, channeling staffs also looks and feels nicer...

Iwould also like a martial 2h weapon that works as well for heavy attack builds (channeling?) as lightning....as only using lightning gets boring

Maybe for flame but ice heavies have clear uses in PvE for supports

What use as a tank? Ha with ice staff feels slow and awkward af. If no channel at least speed it up to same as sword.

More for healers. I found it much easier to use an ice for Roaring Opportunist than a lightning or restro because I’d get lost in the fight and end up medium attacking (thus not proccing the set). Ice is also faster than lightning, so better uptime on the set. Instead of making them all channel, just add a passive that you can put a point into. Or leave them how they are so theres more identity between ice and lightning. Fire I couldn’t care less if it’s a channel or not.

I hate the non channel heavy attack animations. That dumb winding up motion. Im holding a staff not throwing a baseball.

Well throwing fire balls instead of holding a flame thrower makes more sense to me. Same with ice.
Enough HA support already, its getting out of hand. Make it stop :(

There are 2 projectile staffs and 2 channel staffs. It seems fair to me.

Dont like it dont use it.

How about adding a passive in the style of morph, where you can choose the type of attack, allowing you to switch between channeling or projectile, each with its own particularities!

I hate channeled skills in PvE, and anything that slows down my APM, so it's a no for me on this one.
