The game hasn't really felt fun to me lately. I enjoyed multi/subclassing for my solo character, but now I'm tired of leveling up a bunch of skill lines just to try out new combinations. That, plus the overall feel of the game, the devs, and the community right now just sorta seems eh when looking at the big picture.

With that, I haven't participated in the event. Just doesn't seem to be anything in the game I want right now. Maybe I'll check it out more this weekend before my ESO+ cancels.

3 consecutive failed run on Sorcerer tank in vet Fungal Grotto II because no matter how many times you type to not enter dome and you shown, always somebody has to enter.
What's worse, s/he always enters dome when boss is close to die (less than 20% health) so I have to instantly quit as you don't have time to type anything. And they are 2000+ CP players :#. Absolutely mind blowing how many high CP players can't do basic mechanics.
CoH II only played on normal after initial failed runs on NB tank.

And what's up with PvP DD players who come in 35+ k health tanky impenetrable builds, and can't kill anything on normal? Trash killing is never ending slow... I so many runs PvP DDs had more health than my pure trial tank :/.

I stopped playing group dungeons for a few months because of above, I'm just here to finish sticker book and pick boxes.

    Hi forum friends,
I am enjoying the vibes I must say. I started off a bit frustrated cos I couldn't even pick up a couple of dungeon quests on my alts cos I got a group that was in a rush BUT here is how I got around that. I looked up what area dungeon is at, travelled there myself , went in and picked up the quest and enjoyed the first bit of the quest dialogue which is usually the longest part.
Then when I went in with a group from group, finder I was able to share that quest. Im a lot happier now I know I can do this. After I did this I met lots of groups that were doing the quests, taking time looting containers and such lol.

I dont really like the opal items but I know many players do so no big deal, plenty of other goodies to enjoy.

Really liking this undaunted. I get to level up some subclass skills too.

Can't say grinding dungeons I've already done hundreds of times is much of an "event" to look forward to. At least there is the Golden Pursuit to kind of give some rewards for the effort.

Good luck doing HM for the following group dungeons in PUG. I gave up.

    Fungal Grotto II
    Crypt of Hearts II
    Banished Cells II
    Spindleclutch II (less issue)

I am tank on all of my 4 characters. I ask at start do others know mech for HM.
They type that they know, some even type what to do.
But at boss, there is always one grifter who breakes HM, so we type wipe.
I mean as a proper tank I can hold ghosts or Daedroths fine, but no, always one DD has to kill them all.
Then again the same story after wipe. I initiate vote to kick offender, but other 2 don't vote to kick so I leave.
And I'm mostly paired with 2000+ and 3000+ CP players, and I'm "lowly" 1470.
It blows my mind how so many high CP players are so bad, and can't do basic mech.
It's even worse that many of them have fancy vet trials' titles and skins which I will never as I don't play vet trials.
In FG II you type to not enter dome / bubble, you show bubble, and when the fight starts, there is always one player who goes inside. It's pretty obvious it's done on purpose, and yet, others refuse to kick repeating offender.

What is the point of running base game dungeon on veteran if you don't want to do HM?
You can get 1 key on normal version, anyway, and is way faster.

    P. S.
Incoming but play with guild mates.
I have a news for you - I have the bad experience with them, too, so I stopped.
Also, the game is clearly losing players for months after the fake subclassing update as right now in the prime time in my 3 top social / trading guilds with close to 500 members there are not even 80 members online!
On the working days is obviously worse.

i honestly cannot tell if you just made all of that up or you are being honest but yeah thanks for giving all tanks a bad name in the simplest of dungeons if its real, by the way i would also have kicked you and not the dd and just replaced, laughed at your wipe request and finished none hm at the very least

I wanted to do non-hm and go slowly doing the quests, so I decided to try and appeal in zone chat to new players who may need the quests themselves too - apparently there are none. Or they have the chat turned off.
It seems only veteran speedrunner players are participating in this event.

I don't care about the event at all, I don't do dungeons or any group content aside from the occasional world bosses.
The rewards aren't interesting for me either, as I find the style pages pretty ugly and underwhelming. I'll just stick to playing as usual or maybe start yet another alt.

I have been getting the three daily quests, and then enter normal queue as a DPS. Whichever dungeon queue pops first gets done for the golden box and tickets. Some days I switch alts and do the same thing again for a purple box. Or solo speed run normal Fungal Grotto 1 for a purple box. So far it's been a good event.

No. Only doing one rushrushrush and then rushrushrush some more DLC pledge every day. If I was in the mood for actually playing, I would solo some easier pledges, too, but most days I want to get the "work" over quickly and play something nice instead.

No: As mentioned above, doing the same ol' thing repeatedly isn't really fun, more tedium. Admittedly, I'm generally a solo player, so this stuff isn't on my radar by and large, but in the past I participated, maybe not totally enjoyed myself, lol. Then again, I haven't been particularly engaged in the game for a while now for several reasons, and whenever I do, there's some form of frustration that sends me back to logging on autopilot.

During prior Undaunted events I would usually do one or maybe two dungeons a day (per server) to get my tickets, but during the current event I'm actually grinding dungeons solo in an effort to fill in my stickerbook. There are plenty of dungeons I can't solo, so I made a list of the ones I can and wrote down how many pieces of non-monster gear I still need from each, so I know which ones to focus on. I thought that grinding a dungeon two or more times in a row would be boring, but I'm finding it to be more enjoyable that I'd expected.

During the first few days of the Golden Pursuits I finally took the opportunity to have all of my alts join the Undaunted guild, which also encouraged me to slot a few skills on their ability bars so they could do Bolgrul's daily delve quest. Pretty much all of them already had skills which had previously been leveled up a bit, but the last time our skills were reset I had neglected to buy back most of those skills due to wanting to invest them into some of the crafting skill lines, since I was using my alts to do daily crafting writs for the rewards but wasn't actively questing on most of them. So that was a good thing to do which was long overdue.

Unfortunately, the Undaunted event doesn't provide any real incentive to participate on all of my alts, since none of them are capable of soloing dungeons yet, nor are they sufficiently geared and skilled yet for me to feel comfortable joining any groups so they can gain skill points from doing the dungeons-- and even if they were, there's no reason I can't do that outside of the Undaunted event, hence as I said the event doesn't provide any real incentive to participate on my alts. It's easier to just grind for purple event coffers and dungeon gear on my main.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

in many cases if you want to do lore, it's possible to solo dungeons with yourself+companion, i've done so even for dlc dungeons with harder mobs like falkreath hold, or dungeons that require dealing with adds & such like black drake villa. That way you can fully explore the lore, find all the hidden things in the environment/etc... A lot of ESO's dungeons are fun explorable zones when you take it bit by bit.

I earned the capstone reward today. I didn't think it would go so quickly, or that I would even finish, but some of the dungeon assignments were listed as their own pursuit as well.

I bought the yellow snipe skill style.

Ditto. The GP went faster than expected. I managed to get in a few runs with a Guild-mate the other day and completed some group content I would have struggled with solo, so that was nice.

I think my only complaint is the number of event tickets you get for the effort expended compared to some of the other events. (Cake, anyone?). More specifically, I get that a couple of players running meta-subclassed-PvE builds can ROFL-stomp normal group dungeons, so 2 event tickets on normal for that seems fair. But as a solo player it takes me a bit more time. It would be nice if that effort was recognised by bumping the reward +1 if you run group content solo.

Oh, and delves are of course an absolute mess. I was grabbing skill shards on an alt, and every delve in Riften was pretty much a trail of corpses...

I have gotten a nice rug, and a collection of mugs for my dining/drinking table, though!

I had hoped to do more dlc dungeons during the event for weapons drops but I can’t spend more than 20 minutes in the queue this weekend. Today I just ran an easy dungeon I could solo that had full stickerbook for lack of time.

I had some good experiences with pug groups this time and some speedruns - I don’t like using up all my stamina before I get to the boss and not having any resources left. I like to open chests for potential weapon drops and open heavy sacks. Soloing easy dungeons are the only way to do this.

I got the GP already so anything else is extra. Hopefully this week I can get more dlc dungeons and work on the stickerbook.

It's a bit underwhelming for me, as I'm not too interested in the style pages, and there doesn't seem to be much else in terms of rewards. I do it for the tickets and the GP's 500 endeavor seals, and that's about it.

My favourite event is still the anniversary event. The others are just for tickets or mats/transmutes, if we're lucky.

As I've been out of town the past two weeks, I haven't started anything. I get back tonight, so I guess I'll really get started tomorrow. However, I'm highly allergic to pick-up groups, and reading through this thread it seems there are more people who want to actually (dare I say it?) ENJOY the run.
I'm on PC, mainly EU, where I'm in a small guild where we join up to do the pledges, search for the chests and heavy sacks, find all the secret bosses or puzzles, and just recently learned to play some kind of Argonian organ. If it's a new quest, we talk to every NPC, multiple times. Don't forgetting stopping just to look at the view, some sre quite anazing. We don't always have enough to fill a group, so we'll make do with what we have as long as we're having fun. And we chat while playing, usually on Teamspeak. It would be so nice to have multiple groups.
I'm also in the Immersive Quests guild, writing quest instructions for playing without quest markers, and that definitely doesn't work with the rush-through mindset.
So I plan to take my time and enjoy the Golden Pursuits and event in a leisurely manner. I'm cyberjanet ingame as well, and always looking for like-minded players.

I hate dungeons, mainly because I have to do them with pug groups who are always speed demons it seems, my main character being dps can never get a group for pledges during this event, so I am stuck using a healer or just doing Fungal Grotto by my self for the tickets. No point actually sending a character who would need the quest for a skill point, they would not have a chance to get it done. And the rewards in the boxes this year while occasionally good are certainly NOT glorious. Does not matter if you do vet or normal, a new style page or nice motif is unlikely to be in the box. My first dungeon for the event was a vet (with the healer) and I got a motif out of the gold box, got my hopes up I would be getting a nice collection of motifs doing vet dungeons, did not happen.

I finished the golden pursuits and the enthusiasm has definitely died.

      Reading comprehension?

What is the point of doing pledge veteran base dungeon if you're not doing it for double Undaunted key (currently 4)?
You can get 1 (now 2) key in normal version way faster. And most HMs in the base game are barely harder than non-HM.
Also, play as you want? ZOS gave us tool to vote and option to willingly leave.

      Let others judge.
Spindleclutch I was a pledge yesterday. Obviously, I play veteran for 4 keys.
As always, at the start I type "we do scroll / HM for 4 keys?"
If 2 or 3 others type "yes / sure / ofc or similar", I continue to play.
So, on my Sorcerer tank, that happened until the last Spider boss. 3 of us stopped at scroll to read, but, wait for it - one Leeroy Jenkins DD Stampeed right into Spider boss. We typed to stop, to reset boss to read scroll, but no, Rambo continued like mad man to spam 2H abilities on boss. Boss is at ~75% health, obviously Rambo doesn't plan to stop. All right, I press P to initiate vote kick, but somebody else was faster and we kicked Rambo. After kicking him, we reseted boss, read scroll, and fake healer, DD, and I killed it for 4 keys.

This is play as you want and democracy (majority agreed to do HM) just like 2 in 1 like coffee.

According to you, I guess 3 of us are bad for kicking Rambo :*?

      P. S.
FYI, I saved dozens and dozens PUG trials - you know those posted in Group Finder - as a tank, and was commended many times for saving almost failed runs. But what do I know...

I see occasionally "ads" like that in GF here on PC EU, like "chill quest run" and similar, and I join from time to time on my tanks because I almost finished my sticker book, so after doing pledges, I help others as I don't care about farming motifs.
And so far, in my PUGs, if anybody typed "quest" it was respected by others which was suprise for me as I expect somebody is still going to rush, but so far it didn't happen. Really positive suprise :o.

So far so good I'd say.

      Is an... interesting experience

Pugging the 4 newest dungeons with all the chars on my main to get the skill points and fill the stickerbook that is.

The highlight is the 2nd boss in Naj-Caldeesh with pugs where both players that queued as support are anything but. Is turning out to be Dranos Velador v2.0 :sunglasses:

Alas the collection is growing at a steady pace and if everything goes to plan I should have collected all the gear with time to spare.

Pet peeve though, the 'gold' boxes dropping old style pages but w/e at this point, ZOS will do as ZOS does with drops; try to make sense of it, that way madness lies.
