Something happened in the last "outage" or was it an add-on that I had? But I DO remember that there was a button that I could click on and have my companion set a timer about gathering rune stones, killing wolves or snakes of any sort (these two in particular) etc. to increase rapport again. It appears to have gone missing. I do not know if it was removed by the developers or is a bug (bug report needed then?). I thought that it was a nice little thing to have and would like to have it back.

Have you other folks noticed this?

That was never a basegame feature. That’s 100% an addon.

If you mean how often a Companion is supposed to speak, then that can be found under Settings -> Gameplay -> Companion Reactions.

There's an Add On called "Companions Companion (Rapport+)" which features reminder timers. ESOUI returns two results, one by AnotherORC last updated in March 2024 and a second by Molusco_Aquatico labelled "Updated!", last updated June 2025. Apparently I'm using the older of the two without noticing issues, but I don't use timers myself. If this is also the Add On you're using, perhaps you need to switch to the Updated version.

Thank you all for your replies.
@JeroenB You nailed it with Companions Companion. For some reason I was having some add-on issues with this older iMac when I came up here to East Texas. I do not use this computer often and ESO has to update, so something went off so-to-speak.
I got rid of all the add-ons and started over, a fresh version of this one got things back to normal.
