Favorite alliance answer

Since a wintery-cold forum mod arbitrarily closed another thread, which was a poll asking for players favorite alliance, I am creating a new thread, as requested by the mod, by saying mine is Ebonheart pact. I like the color scheme, I like the dragon motif, and I like Argonians and Dunmer. The nords are eh but I suppose they're what provides the dragon motif.

But this thread is just for my answer since I don't have a way to post it otherwise. I'm on standby for when mods decide to close the fashion megathread due to its age too 🫡 I hope they don't get upset either, since their thread closures are a form of public communication/posts. So mentioning it here to explain why this thread even exists shouldn't be considered a no-no (hopefully).

From a story and lore standpoint, my favorite alliance is probably the Ebonheart Pact. I'm also partial to Nords, so I guess this makes sense.

But I play blue in PVP. True blue. Sometimes this game is just about who you meet and who you're friends with.

I prefer EP. It's red and has a dragon. DC is pretty blue though. Can't say anything good about the color yellow and that weird symbol looks flaky to me.

Not that any of this matters in any capacity other than my preferences. I'd play any faction if that's where my friends were.

AD, but I have no concrete reason other than all 3 of my characters are AD. I think I have "Any Race, Any Alliance" but I prefer to stick with the original game design.

    Also, I like bananas.

I have more characters in the Ebonheart Pact than in the other two alliances, which are equally split between them, but in PvP I'm strictly a fighter for the Daggerfall Covenant. I do like the Bretons, Redguards, and Orcs, but I'm not sure if I'd say they are my three favorite races. I have characters of all 10 races-- more Nords than any of the others, but that doesn't mean I like the Nords better than the other races.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

When I joined the game I picked EP. I like Nords. Tall, blonde, and muscle-bound.

The moment I saw what the Covenant was doing to Bleakrock, Bal Foyen, and Stonefalls, and then AD with Shadowfen, I was so deeply revolted I declared the other alliances were downright vile.

When the update rolled that allowed these disgusting ADs and DC players to waltz into MY cities and mingle with EP players I was so violently disgusted I seriously considered leaving the game. For a long time I felt nothing but revulsion for these so-called "people". But I kept going, at least I still had EP guildies to play with.

Unfortunately as the years rolled I learned that ESO don't care about our feelings, or our loyalty. I'll never play DC or AD, and the only reason I have one character of each is so I can go and pick treasure maps in Cyro, because I'm not giving gold to any DC/AD player for the motifs :P

    BLOOD FOR THE PACT!!! ✊🏼

No alliance is perfect and completely sin-free. From a goal perspective, I resonate with EP wanting to be independent. The past rulers have caused more harm and turmoil to Tamriel.

From a lore viewpoint, I almost always root for the underdogs. Argonians, Dark Elves, and Nords can’t possibly get along. And yet they do, similar to many uneasy alliances in real world history. Much of their quests explores the tension and history between the three races, and I’d like to be the bridge to help remedy that! Fostering more peace and belonging.

Mainly for Argonians, I want to help them fight for a better life than slavery. By joining the EP, they are fed and taken care of as they are soldiers and need the energy. If either the DC or AD won, Argonians would continue to be slaves.

Mainly, I want to end the slavery of Argonians.

    BLOOD FOR THE PACT! ✊🏼

At the end of the day though, no alliance won and everyone returned to their old ways 😅

I am AD. Because that was a new exciting area to explore when ESO first came out. And I found that I like the southern lands. And I like the colour yellow as well.

In Cyro I only have AD chars. It has become kind of a loyalty thing. Though some take this game a bit too serious (Cyro anyone...)

AD. I like bows, so I usually play bosmers and prefer to stay with the lore. Also, Queen Ayrenn.

If you play Cadwell's SIlver/Gold, you learn that all the alliances are pretty crappy and do horrible things to eachother. I still like the storyline of EP the best, but lets not kid ourselves that one side is saintlier than the others in war. War makes villains of us all.

Back when I was a clueless noob (as opposed to a clueless veteran) in 2014 I picked EP because dragons and Skyrim. Lorewise, though, I favor DC because they seek to restore the Empire. I'm not good at PvP, but I choose to be not good on my EP toon, since I'm more used to him.
