Back to the game after a break. Playing my necro and keep getting the message "can't do that while at pet cap" or something along those lines. Is necro broken now? Is a ui thing in Bandits? I don't remember getting this message before. Not doing anything special, just parsing away on my dummy, decided to try it in a dungeon and got it during the final boss in vet ERE. Rotation same as it always was, blastbones every 3rd cast and consuming them with corpseburster. Don't know how I reach pet cap with the corpse being consumed every time by corpseburster.

    U47 instituted a kind of pet cap to set a limit on number of summonables since you can have a huge amount of summons now with subclassing (maw + 2 sorc pets + warden bear + more proc pets)

    i think its erroneously counting whats called "pseudo pets", essentially an entity thats spawned in to create an effect of some kind but is not a true pet, think i saw it in some known issues section but not sure where the post went

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    Basically, instead of reworking the Pet/Corpse system entirely, ZOS decided it would be a good idea to hinder the effectiveness of Necromancer instead to prevent performance issues that the Pet/Corpse system can cause.

    They need to rework corpses instead of neutering a class that revolves around a dysfunctional mechanic.

    this problem since U43(1year ago), with corpseburster set add game,never fixed..
    and zos choose instituted a kind of pet cap so now very easy got this problem,old patch only some necro dps build will happen this

    ok so the problem isnt corpseburster, the problem is using detonating siphon as a semi spammable. i put deadly on in place of corpseburster and parse was going fine. decided to start semi spamming detonating siphon and within a few casts i was getting pet cap message. did a parse just casting detonating siphon every 20 seconds and no problems.

    that sucks - i like blowing up corpses on my necro. i guess it would probably still work in trash as the trash pack would be dead before hitting pet cap.
