I never level every morph of every skill, even on my main crafter who’s earned enough XP that I could have long since for base class, weapon, guild, etc. skill lines. I suppose it makes sense to do so, it just was never something I felt a need or desire to do.

I probably will eventually for a lot of skills and morphs for subclassing, just because it applies to all characters, but the only thing I’m grinding at all is the subclasses themselves. I’m not intentionally fully leveling morphs, whatever I want to use for a particular character will be leveled as I play them.

It seems a bit pointless. I am tired of changing my build every five minutes. None of it is set in stone. The skills and classes keep getting changed depending on feedback. I am not investing that much time in something which I have no idea of the outcome.

Same. "I have no intention of starting the subclassing grind" does feel like a meaningfully different answer than "I've started but haven't gotten very far yet".

I agree but I went back and chose the first option because technically I have not finished it. I wish there had been an "I have not started the subclassing quest" or an "I am not participating in subclassing" option which would have been more accurate to my situation.

Took under 2 hours the first day to level every skill line to 50 and every skill to morph. Master writs ftw!

I levelled only the morphs that are useful, however I have since delegated crafters to levelling up the less useful morphs just in case.

Did all the subclassing stuff 2 weeks after release.

When I knew it was coming I saved up XP scrolls and finished grinding out my characters their skill lines to 50. So it went pretty fast when it released. Coupled with the 2XP event + scrolls it went fast.

I didn't have to do it. But I like to have a whole library of skills and stickerbook available, so I create new meta setups asap.

I did he intro quest on two characters and unlocked the NB shadow line and those characters are leveling shadowy disguise.

That's the only skill I want to have on non-NB characters so they can do the TG and DB quests more easily.

I have no interest in sub-classing otherwise.

I grinded out all the skill lines fairly methodically during the first week or so, through a mixture of Craglorn, BRP, and dungeons.

Just have 1 morph of the NB ulti, Incap Strike, left to do. My main crafter is a NB, and so couldn't level that with master writs.

ive only subclassed a few characters, i dont feel like i NEED to get all skill lines maxed out, as there are many lines i dont think i will ever bother using to begin with

i dont find it hard to rank up the skill lines so ill just rank them up as needed when i feel like experimenting with a character

most of my characters havent even done the subclassing intro yet because it forces you to go into a subclass right then and there instead of waiting for when you want to

your poll about "completing the subclassing intro" doesnt make a lot of sense either because that is per toon, so i have maybe 3 of my 11 characters with the subclassing quest completed, but i have around 5 of the subclasses at lvl 50

i dont see the point in doing all morphs either as thats just unnecessary extra effort lol

I don't think there even is a "subclassing grind" because you don't need to get every skill line to rank 50 or every morph to rank 4.

I've passively leveled some skill lines I wanted or expect that I'll want, and won't bother with others until I might need them.

I have dabbled in it, but I must admit I prefer scripting. Pity scripting has been consigned to the dust bin as I enjoy it, it gives me Oblivion vibes. As for sub-classing, I don't intend to invest much time in it at all.

    Some partially done.

I'm not "grinding" for this. I just unlock something I want to add to a given character, and then it levels as I play. I don't specifically go out of my way to level everything as fast as possible just to do it.

Some day I may complete them all. Or not.

    [ X ] Haven't started it and don't intend to.

Ditto, except I'm not ruling it out. I do like the concept, but right now there are already a lot of other things I haven't done yet:

    - Haven't acquired all of the different weapon skills, just certain ones.
    - Haven't optimized front/back bars and skill rotations for maximum DPS.
    - Haven't collected all of the BIS dungeon, arena, and trial set gear.
    - Haven't collected all of the BIS antiquities gear.
    - Haven't collected all companions and fitted them out with their best role-specific skills and gear.
    - Haven't made any use of the armory for quickly switching between different builds.
    - For that matter, haven't ever used respec shrines or scrolls to experiment with different builds.
    - Haven't made extensive use of scribing, although I finished/collected everything and scribed a few very helpful skills.

Subclassing is way down there on my list of things to (maybe) eventually do in the game. And as long as I'm able to use my current "below average" characters to solo many of the base game dungeons on normal, and solo nearly all base game world bosses and several of the chapter/DLC world bosses, I honestly don't feel a burning need to chase after current META builds that change every few months, or grind for gear and antiquities, or practice rotations on dummies, etc. I have plenty of things that I enjoy doing in the game, enough to keep me occupied in game for several hours each day-- and not just the same things day after day, but a variety of activities that I choose from according to my particular moods each day.

But as I said, I do like the concept of subclassing, and I expect I'll get to it sooner or later-- maybe before many of those other things I haven't done yet. But I'll get into subclassing more for fun and variety with my characters, as opposed to trying to put together the most competitive massively OP BIS-META build.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

I've barely touched subclassing. I was initially against it because I love my alts, and felt that if I mixed their skill lines, they wouldn't necessarily feel like that particular class anymore. And for me, class identity has always been a big part of why I love creating new alts.

However I found a build on Skinnycheeks recently for a Templar, DK and Nightblade mix and thought why not, let's give it a go. And in all honesty I've been really enjoying it. I've gone with DK as the base class, with Ardent Flame, Aedric Spear and Assassination.

For me, as I assign an identity to my alts, it doesn't feel like too much of a stretch for my character to be using fire magic and templar skills, since some of the temp skills use sunlight so the two aren't massively dissimilar.

"Haven't completed the Subclassing quest yet."

I prefer to play clear classes and fulfill class fantasy. Since subclassing I don't play competitive PVE and PVP anymore. The only thing I consider is to add warden's frost skill line to my necromancer because it doesn't break an immersion and actually fits necro fantasy.

I've picked up a few skills to replace ones I didn't like but didn't have a suitable alternative for among weapon, world etc skills.

I have absolutely no intention of trying to level everything, I never level skills I don't intend to use.

If I was ever bored enough to consider grinding skills for the sake of having something to complete I'd play a different game.

Finished all classes, all skill lines the second week. (Had IRL things the first week.) Levelled up all skills so that I can at least morph them. Not sure what I should pick in the poll since I have done more than just level the skill lines, but less than levelled up every morph.

I ground out all of the healer lines since I see some raid leads are being prescriptive with which skill lines they want. I'd rather be prepared than potentially lose out on a slot.
