Ping issues

So i waiting thru the super fun queue of 50 people, after working 60 hours this week. Having only a few hours to enjoy myself, i really enjoy this anticipation builder (such a great feature !).

eventually i was allowed into gray host !
yayayayayayaya

and wow, to the absolute shock of no one, the ping was at 999.

so me and the homie head down to brk, get some action in. dc and ad ballgroup is farming. lag is atrocious. no big deal we can bail on this, we go down south. check out faregyl.

take all the resources, no one comes. they hardly do anymore. butttttttttttttttttttt wow was the lag thiccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc bro. even far from the front lines, ping spiking, staying over 200, going up to 999.

couldnt play last night. too laggy.

why do i pay for eso plus, the season pass, multiple chapters, the base game..... and cyrodiil is unplayable?

i mean bro i can leave if you want. but usually people ask me to leave if they want me to leave. dont make it so miserable that i leave.... its rude and tacky. have some class. speak up. do you want me to leave and go to anther game or what bro?

this is unacceptable. its unplayable. its disrespectful. its distasteful. this reflects on you?

you know why i bust my hind end all week ? you know why MY WORK is always AMAZING? because people can walk by.... and know who did the work just by looking at it. my grandpa taught me that. and when people walk past my work.... they are shocked by how good it is. i do this by design. your work? im shocked your boss doesnt fire you. this product is no longer functioning. you're selling moldy bread. you fixing trasnmissions with sawdust. you building tofu dreg.

this is a great question saffron and i am glad you asked it !

with the introduction of subclassing, and the new mythic, if you want to compete, you must ! its not pay to win apparently, but if you dont pay you aint winnin ! (i say this sarcastically, but im dead serious. the extra crit damage and mitigation/healing is essentially mandatory. then you stack that with damage passives of nb/warden and you're going over the crit damage cap and start negating their impen. ive hit multiple spectral bows over 20k this patch. i hit some kid last night for 26k which is silly after hulk smash, picked up a kill, then soul harvest into spectral)

furthermore i also assumed that the game would be in a playable state and that i would be able to enjoy these pay to win features i mean new content.

Subclassing is a base game feature. No ESO+ required. I cancelled my sub after subbing continuously from early 2015 until U35 dropped a couple years ago. Haven't regretted it a bit, ever. In fact, I'm thankful I'm not paying for the changes they've made since and including U35. It makes changes I disagree with a lot easier to stomach. I actually enjoy the game more now that I'm not paying. But, I did set up a personal guild bank as soon as I saw U35 coming down the pike and prepared accordingly. The new mythic will almost certainly be nerfed soon or when the next one comes out....or so it has always been in the past.

im essentially complaining that ive paid a lot of money, i work all week, cyrodiil is empty all week.... get on friday night and its unplayable because of the lag.

subclassing and pay to win i find frustrating but my main complaint was the the game doesnt work and we are losing players hand over fist. the only free time i have.... and the only time people are actually in cyrodiil.... and it doesnt even work.

Completely agree. Yeah, it's hard read but the truth hits hard sometimes.

But the single saddest part about this is people don't seem to understand or want to understand. More than anything, I think that is by itself what's driving people off... more than anything else. It's the indifference and the folks who treat serious impactful things like we're just joking around. There's a time for that but there's also a time to get real about things and make some changes. And it's like they have an aversion to making the changes for PvP that need to be made. While real problems like ball groups get kissed and blessed and grow stronger with every patch.

I made a post about this myself couple months ago. All this other stuff is fine; well, actually I don't approve of all of it but there's things that need to be done and it doesn't matter how much money you spend or how long you been here it's like we're just being ignored. This is again, by itself, the thing that baffles most people I know (including me) and leaves us wondering how we all got here. No need for explanation either as there are many threads like yours and all you can do is say what it is.

Do yourself a favor and start dividing your interests. Try out other mmo's, find other hobbies, anything to get away from the cycle you're in. We know Cyrodiil isn't going to get magically fixed one day, and anyone who played Vengeance can attest to it. Even with gutted systems and a total revamp of their current combat skills people were still facing massive ping spikes along with a couple nights where there were 3-4 second wait times before a skill went off (anywhere on the map, not exclusive to fights). We've had.. 7 years of promised improvements to performance? And the most we've gotten out of it was maybe 2 months of smooth fights.. and that doesn't even address the *** terrible attempts of balancing or desperately needed dismemberment of glaring issues.
A good portion of the development team was also laid off with the cuts Microsoft forced onto ZOS, so you can almost count on the game going into maintenance mode..
The game is dying. Find a new ship to sail off on before you regret it later.
As someone who has 10k hours in the game, most of it in Cyrodiil, I don't regret doing it myself. You can always come back to ESO later on to check if there's improvements, play new content.. just stop *** suffocating yourself on pointless ***.

Or time is limited here bud. Don't waste it being miserable hoping it'll get better. Hope is a *** toxin if you overdose on it.

yeah man thats probably the advice i need to hear. not what i wanted to hear tho.

what i dont get is like.... in the past the servers magically worked better for midyear mayhem everytime... crazy.

or when i first came to pc from consoles (played eso on both), after the server upgrades.... the game worked really good.

now the servers are terrible again (it was a slow degrade back to where it once was, and now it is worse than that)

im convinced they just upgrade and downgrade service as they please. which... makes sense from a business standpoint. but its not working..... so can we like upgrade a plan or two? its unplayable.
