If animations were immersive when the Quest needs you to carry something

I've been unlocking Scribing on a couple Alts, and the beginning stages of the Questline needs you to replace the Focusing Crystal for the Altar.

The Crystal is bigger than your pocket.

So, what if?

I'd be all for that, cause it's indeed immersive (also, nice image modification, congrats), but it seems to ba a lot of work for something that won't last more than a minute.

Also..
What of the battle animations?
What if I port outside, to a trial, for instance?

There's a quest on Solstice in the Temple of Meridia that alters your character to look like you're carrying something, so the system is already in place, you would just stop carrying it when you leave the area.

That's also bigger than the crate you find it in.

I agree that, if it was possible, this would be a nice detail for quests where you need to carry big objects. Although if the game made too much of a point of some objects being too big for your (invisible) bag it would seem odd given you could have several sets of armour, greatswords, walls, boats and who knows what else in there.

This is another one of those things for the "this would be nice and immersive if we assumed that space and technology restrictions did not exist, but in the real world we have to consider that ZOS is actively trying to reduce the footprint of the game so they can add more things."

I just can't imagine that this is something big enough for people to say "yeah, we may not have gotten a new Class or zone in 2026, but at least for that one single quest in the Scholarium we can watch our character lug a large crystal from one room to the other! 10/10 would buy again!"

It's incredibly unfair and unwarranted to compare one character asset animation with an entire Class or Adventure Zone.
