halve incoming damage by half??

Found something very odd - what could cut damage received by about half for 16 seconds without blocking? (and NOT constant 50%)

Here is the log:

Part 1 is when it was activated, you can see the received damage varied a lot while it's active:

Part 2 is when it was deactivated - normal damage is ~1400

The purple Binding Burst (oblivion damage) always did the same damage before and after the effect.

The opponent used Storm Calling and Grave Lord. It's a highly mobile build, and corpses weren't utilized as far as I can recall. There was no pet except blastbones.

It was activated only once. So I guess it's the second ultimate? (the first was Overlord) But Magma Armor, Shield Wall and Gibbering Shield can't last that long.

Also you should not use Deep Fissure on a bash build. You have no wd/sd. Try Reverb + Shield Throw instead.

You are probably barking up the wrong tree, are you sure its not just a combination of what you are doing? With random duel logs we cannot tell what happened.

There are abusive ways to use the psijic 30% mit passive all the time, pair that up with other % mit sources and youll hit 50% easily. The build would be useless though.

It's either Esoteric (you'd have literally no way of knowing if they're using it) or a combination of your buffs falling off and their defensive/backbar buffs activating.

Thx that's probably it!

The effect only happened one time after an unusually long respawn of his (killed in short distance from their base). In all other fights the damage was constant 1.4k.

PS: I don't have buffs.
