Porting each other through dungeons, optional prompt that you can accept or decline?

So, since it's been a controversial issue before, why not make it optional to accept a teleport to the next boss battle? That way beginners can continue looting or whatever they had to stop for! Now, with that said, a timer should begin (that would teleport the player there anyways after depleting), that way afk players, or trolls cannot hold the team up for logner than say, 30 seconds? Yet, players can try to repair, feed, or empty some of their full inventory! That way new players are not missing quest objectives or their loot, and the Nascar drivers can still maintain an efficient pace! Compromising would be better than self-absorbed extremities and radical ideaism. No one should be banned for causing a player to miss their quest objective and potentially loot, and it should remain in the unfair fashion that it currently does. It shocked me to read players using little nicknames like "que-culture" to justify bad etiquette and selfish, childish behavior. Since when did it become OK for the new players who lack in friends and/ or guilds to be held accountable for forming groups if they ACTUALLY enjoy the game and it's lore, or simply want to finish their quests!? When did it become OK for veteran players who can EASILY form groups to expect to race through and ignore any cries for help or requests to briefly pause? Madness. A simple solution could be reached though, I'm sure. Just a thought and opinion. I promise, I mean no offense, but only to make light of the situation in jest and good spirit. :) Love and Love to allllll!

Another solution here would be to avoid those activities altogether if *you* don't like the current state. I am merely presenting an alternative solution to the issue you raised. I mention this because it is unlikely that ZoS will change the way this part of group dungeons works any time soon. Either get used to it or refrain from participating.

Dont use the Dungeon queue. Build your own groups and make it absolutely clear in the description how you want to play. You still will met some weird people, but it will be better. Some cant read english and jump on any group they see. And some love to ruin the experience of others.

So, use the group finder for a better experience

I would support an optional toggle that you could turn on or off with the default being off. When set to on, there would be a 10 second prompt to cancel the port to boss. If you don't respond to it, then you get autoported. If the toggle is off, then it works as it does now.

For me, having this option would give me the extra time I need to loot chests as I move through the dungeon with the group.

I would say that the people that want to fake role queue or do speed runs should use the Group Finder to make groups to do that.

While I do not really care for this toggle (since it would not solve the problem of not being able to fully experience quests) people that do not port would miss the bosses and would not be able to complete the daily.

A toggle isn't a bad idea. I would support this.

But on the other hand I would also support a more - lets say - drastic approach to it  .

My approach would be to make it so that if someone skips mobs and bosses just to run through to a certain boss and *force* port all others to it, all the skipped NPCs and bosses will spawn at that boss and all of them (incl. the boss) will get an enrage with at least 500% damage increase.
That way it would be an instant wipe and those stupid rushers would learn to take it a bit more easier  .

Actually, yeah, this seems like a good idea. Making it a toggle is over-complicating it. Just use the same strategy as the “leave instance once the group is disbanded” button. A timed synergy on your screen that you can activate immediately or, when the time runs out, is activated for you.

I would like some kind of option to avoid this. It is seriously triggering to me because I'm not slow. If I get pulled in, it's because another player is beelining to the boss and ignoring absolutely everything else.

It's especially annoying when the rest of the group is right behind them and they can't be bothered to wait a moment.

Many bosses can be killed in much less than 30 seconds so we'd just have to read all the complaints of people missing loot or recognition that they killed the boss instead. At least the way it is now everyone gets the kill and everyone gets to loot.

They can't complain if they intentionally set an option to opt out of pull-ins. Plus the dudes doing the pulling in often aren't good players and usually get to the boss with no ult.

Among other things, teleporting players into fight areas addressed unintended situations where players could either stay out of the fight area (intentionally or not) while the rest of the group completed it or the whole group could pull bosses to the very edges of the area to make the fight substantially easier (vastly reducing or eliminating the danger from adds, ground effects, etc.). Some fights can still be cheesed, but not as many.

Making this optional, while much better from a player perspective, would re-enable those “strategies” that this addressed.

Or a third alternative, just forfeit the quest and alt-tab until the speed runners finish or give up, then you still get the rewards and can do the dungeon with a different group to hear the quest/story.
