@ZOS_Kevin I understand that there are probably policies that you have to follow regarding sending unsolicited mails to players who didn't opt in, but it does seem strange to have the permissions for things like feedback lumped together with marketing. I suspect most of the people in this thread who didn't get a survey had simply not opted in to receive what many would perceive to be spam.

I think things like surveys--not just for this campaign, but also the random feedback surveys that I've seen over the years--should be a separate setting. Perhaps one that is opt-in by default?

I would not reasonably expect a person reading the following text to think that it would also cover things like feedback surveys:

Legal... legal ruines all things. Kinda like HR.

I'm jokingggggg. But for real... they have to ask the age question for legal. This survery is the way it is... because of legal. Just the world we live in I guess.

For those trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, I have been opted into marketing emails for years, and only get ESO-related mails, which usually only pop up when an update or even in the game goes live, or when they send out surveys and such.

One of the things to note is that getting the email might depend on your email provider. I know with other games there have been times I have heard people complaining they never got the email, even though the developer (usually a petsite type game where there are only one or two developers) knows they sent the email to the person, and the person checked all the places, but for some reason, it just never reached the recipient.

Some places will tell you if you use certain email providers, then you might have a harder time getting emails from the site.

There have also been some times I have sent email to people, and they never got it, or they sent email to me and wanted to know why I never replied, but I never got that email. Sometimes email just likes to wander around.

So it could very well be something like this happened, that your email provider flagged the email as spam or it just never arrived due to *something* going wrong.
