Gold from Infinite Archive

I love IA, I do a run once a week. My IA partner and I have probably a million of that currency, and I buy the monster masks and whatever recipes I don't have from the rotating vendor, but I'd love it if there were a better way to make gold. You used to be able to sell gold food mats for a lot, but no longer, and I've been selling scribing stations but now that everyone gets a free scribing station I imagine the gold value of those will tank.

So I humbly request some more stuff to buy I can sell on traders for gold from the rotating vendor. Who's with me? :-D

Thanks!

I meant the stable vendor, actually, but stuff from the rotating vendor would be fine too.

I wish the furnishing recipes weren't bound, they'd be a nice way to make gold via archival fortunes.

That's precisely why they are bound. There have already been a couple high value furnishing plans in thee. You could make millions for a paltry amount of archival fortunes.

They could add blue recipes and then raise the cost of purple ones. The thing is to make a decent amount of fortunes from a run you have to go past arc 6 and this takes a lot of time, especially when the vision RNG is not obliging. And for people who like to run the IA and thus have all the collectibles acquired, there isn't anything they can easily translate to gold with their surplus currency, unlike AP and Telvar. The gold pouches especially are a joke, because the equivalency is uneven, you can make 5k gold just doing a round of daily writs in a few minutes, but it takes almost two dailies to make 4k fortunes.

There is a IA fortune to gold item in Tezzar's store. You could do that. Guaranteed straight gold.

EDIT: thinking it over, I don't think anything in Ool's shop is tradeable.

P.S. Any of the crafting pouches can drop gold mats too.

There is so much to make gold on by farming tel war, IA is not even close.

I agree the vendors in IA needs an update with more tradeable items.

lol there is, but it'd be the worst way to make gold out of all possible options. You could likely make more just buying cloth drop kits and hoping for wax.

they just want you to use the currency in there to reroll your visions, i notice provisioning mats seem to no longer give Mourning dew/Ruby blossom Extract, spent 1mil on them in pts not one dropped

That's because they got nerfed/adjusted to lower drop rates during the Jubilee event. When the Jubilee boxes were found to be dropping them too generously, within a couple of days they were "fixed". The IA Archival Sack of Provisions were included in that same fix, and thus took the same hit.

    Ouch, good to know.

I'll happily spend a little bit of currency to get a Focused Efforts or two early on, but I also want something I can buy to sell for gold. Scribing Altars were that thing, especially if gold provisioning mats don't drop anymore, so I think we should have something else now. I mean it's conceivable that Altar prices could slowly go back up, but given anyone playing the game right now just got a free one, it's going to take a while.

Wow, I thought I was the only person in this position, with this problem. I agree. I love IA and do it regularly. But there's not really a way to translate fortunes into gold now that altar prices have crashed, and it wasn't good that there was only one way in the first place, because something like this was bound to happen.

I do love the new furnishing plan rewards and hope to see them at other vendor types in the future, but you gotta have gold in this game to get stuff done. I'm certainly not getting enough heartwood and wax from the materials bags to furnish my houses.

+1 on looking at IA rewards and adding something that can make fortunes semi-profitable.

The scribing altar market flood is only temporary. It'll bounce back.

Crafting/Service stations will always be in demand. Provisioning stations always sell well, and that's a perpetually flooded market.
