Hel Ra Citadel
Berserking Warrior aka Advancing Yokeda - One of the strongest crit damage sets, but you should probably just craft Order's Wrath

Sanctum Ophidia
Vicious Serpent aka Vicious Ophidian - Best overall stamina soloing set, sidelined by already good standard sustain nowadays

Maw of Lorkaj
Roar of Alkosh - A meta trial group utility (DD) set, often combined with Z'en's Redress for creating a so-called Zenkosh DK

Halls of Fabrication
Master Architect / War Machine - Group support sets for all roles in dungeons and trials, albeit uncommon for tanks / healers in trial PUGs

Asylum Sanctorium
Concentrated Force (destro staff) - A PvP set that might also work in Infinite Archive
Piercing Spray (bow) - A PvP set
Defensive Position (1H+S) - A PvE tanking option

Cloudrest
Relequen - A meta PvE and even PvP damage set, but finnicky to use and might not suit every build or situation
Olorime - Used by some (dungeon) tanks, but usually the healer wearing Spell Power Cure is preferred

Sunspire
Yolnakriin - Outdated tank set, no longer really used due to Arcanist and better available tank sets
False God - Best overall magicka soloing set, sidelined by already good standard sustain nowadays

Kyne's Aegis
Roaring Opportunist - Meta healer set for one of the two standard types of healers (RoJo) typically found in (PUG) trials

Rockgrove
Bahsei - A formerly meta magicka DD set, arguably sidelined by hybridisation, Coral Riptide, and Ansuul
Saxhleel - A meta tanking set
Sul-Xan - The single most potent DD crit set, but only for trash and bosses with adds, also decent for early Infinite Archive

Dreadsail Reef - everything is good here
Coral Riptide - Possibly the most meta PvE DD set, if you can manage the resource game
Pearlescent Ward - One of the most meta tanking sets and identifying badge in (trial) PUGs, but only for 1 tank
Pillager's Profit - One of the most meta (trial) healer sets, typically combined with Spell Power Cure
Whorl of Depths - One of the most meta (magicka) DD sets, good for solo and trials, easy to use if a bit limited due to it's stationary nature

Sanity's Edge
Ansuul - One of the easiest to use "fit and forget" (trial) DD sets, an all rounder

Lucent Citadel
Lucent Echoes - A very good new tanking set
Null Arca - A DD set that may also work in PvP

War machine also can be used on tank in dungeons or trials as well as often used on dps in trials. Master architect used on trial healers too.

Asylum sanctorium s&b gets used in some situations as PvE tank.

    Another awesome post, @fred4

And, another sigh, this made me miss the days of "VO + TFS" as the world-beater stamina build. Or when Moondancer, Twilight Remedy, Healing Mage, and Infallible Aether were legit sets.

But it also makes me laugh when thinking about the old Eternal Warrior, and its worse version Defending Warrior where you would turn into a statue upon death with some insane cooldown like 20-30 minutes.

Just fresh of a trial run last night and was wondering what was worth keeping. Thread duly bookmarked!

Any thoughts on the very latest sets, or changes due to sub-classing?

    As of U46:
Null arca is top tier single target dps now because coral is too hard usually, and they buffed it.

Coral riptide is hard to keep up now because of banner changes, but is still excellent if you can somehow manage it. I dont know if its actually hard off banner too, I never tried it.

Ansul is now a staple dps set for non-single target fights, both because miserable banner sustain and because they murdered azureblight.

Alkosh is less common now because some class pen got buffed, but it is still used, depends on group comp.

Yoln is making a comeback because they murdered arc zenas, and the only other sources for those buffs are expensive scribing skills.

Both lucent and sax are still staple tank sets, but you have to be more aware of when to wear them now because extra crit from subclassing can make them redundant depending on group.

Afiak nothing from ossian cage is good right now, but you never know when that might change.
