Eidetic Memory Bugs/Comments/Help

  • s8nhimself
just started playing again after a few months away and i can confirm the tome lorebooks (elusive manuscripts) are now permanently there in their respective places. they will not disappear like they used to and cause bugs, and can be revisited even after your char have done the achievements.

odd... I just picked up scribing for the ebonhart pact and it just wiped all of my lorebooks, except those 3 books...

Can anyone confirm that they have found Introduction to Aedric Studies in Shadowfen bookshelves (like the addon says) and not only in Imperial City (like the wiki says)?

    Thank you

If you are still searching Introduction to Aedric Studies, atm (sunday) it can be found in one of the 5 bookshelves in the Daggerfall Covenant Base in the Imperial Sewers, No-CP Campaign, PC EU.

So if ur char (on which u need it) is DC, it's no big deal. If not, chances are good after maintenance on tuesday for other locations.

Hey, thank you very much. I still missing it but unfortunately my character is yellow (I'am crying inside, I check both IC campaigns and sewers daily)

@Irenicusss The bookshelf route for IC is on the first page of this thread, hopefully that helps you when hunting down your missing IC books. I recommend starting in Temple and going clockwise ^^

I follow the same route and once I reach memorial I go down in sewers for the few shelves there, thank you.

Anyone knows for sure if bookshelves in Imperial City Prison are from the same pool of Imperial City?

  • Irenicusss
Introduction to Aedric studies can be found today in CP Imperial Sewers, at the ghost boss in the red part.

nice that u found it. :+1: Do u know, how many bookshelves there are in the Sewers, beside the ones in the bases?

And the IC Prison seems to be in the same bookshelves-pool. Don't know for sure, just heard from other people, that they found books there, which are mentioned by UESP as from "IC-bookshelves". No guarantee.

    Sewer shelves:
Red section, at ghost boss, 2 shelves
    Yellow section, 1 shelf
    ksc1mkj2bpqi.png
Blue section, 1 shelf (under the wooden platform)

For IC prison i did some runs and most of the books seemed to be just random shelves, but didnt check one by one (and finally I don't need them anymore)

Has anyone noticed that 4 styles are missing from the "Crafting Motifs" section?
    #15 Dwemer Style
    #58 Fang Lair Style
    #61 Psijic Style
    #62 Sapiarch Style
So the total number of books in the Lore Library (with the "Include Motifs" flag) has decreased by 56.
Apparently this happened with the patch that added "Jewelry Crafting Surveys" to the "Eidetic Memory" section.

I have those complete so when (if) they put them back they better not ruin my motif count…

You're right, after disabling ALL addons, these styles return. So this is not an Eidetic memory bug.

Interesting, I wonder if it’s tied to a specific one. I only have the FancyActionBar. I wonder if it’s tied to the lorebook addon or something similar.

A little investigation revealed that LoreBooks was to blame. I informed the author about it.

I would like to inform book collectors and other things collectors that the note called ‘Hezsatari's Instructions’ during the ‘Crossing the Wall’ quest is bugged and cannot be picked up. At least in current PTS version.

A note on "Gleaner's Claim": You have a second opportunity to collect this in the quest Ithelia's Fury, but this quest is only available if you've completed all main quests from Necrom and Gold Road.
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Ithelia's_Fury

After restoring the three daedric artifacts and unlocking the portal in Beragon's townhouse, you can backtrack all the way to the beginning of the Fargrave Outer Ruins. DO NOT go through the large yellow mirror portal, instead turn around and run north to the Fargrave Outer Ruins door. Once you've entered the ruins, the note is on a barrel at the top of some stairs not far from the red and black Abolisher portal.

I'm assuming the portal in the townhouse disappears once this quest has been completed.
