A variant of the next chapter after Solstice: Shivering Isles

Main plot:
A portal to the shivering isles has opened near Winterhold (a prelude to a great storm), and unknown magic is coming from there.
dvad77rflsfg.jpg
It tempts residents to go through the portal. Because of this, the city is almost empty, and only the College of Winterhold is trying to save residents from hypnosis with its spells.
prkj1p08cidt.jpg
We follow the advice of Augur of Dunlei, and with the help of the atronach forge, we create a protective artifact/helmet that protects against hypnosis.
9x2t0u713uyq.jpg
Having arrived on the trembling isles, it turns out that Sheogorath has disappeared, and his powerful artifacts have been stolen by unknown people.
Mania and Dementia blame each other for what is happening, there is civil strife on the streets of the city.
c7ll8ueu20kp.jpg
Camps of Zealots and heretics are noticed not far from the city. Now Mania and Dementia are partially PvP zones. People abducted by hypnosis join either the ranks of the Zealots or the ranks of the Heretics.
w74ueuyn6yz1.jpg

I suggest that the developers come up with a further plot)

Feature of New Sheoth:
You will not be able to stay there for too long: the madness scale will gradually fill up, upon filling which, you fall into madness.
lskptbckz4ke.jpg

Character madness mechanics:
your character can attack a local resident or a guard, and you will be finished off, or you will start drinking poisons that are in your inventory, with a logical end, or your character will start laughing, and you will simply run and jump off the abyss.
8o814arbsmds.jpg
There can be many options for character madness, but they all lead to the same end.
At the moment of madness, you will not be able to control the character, but if you have a purification seal with you, you will automatically be able to reset half the madness scale. Purification seals will be obtained for completing a daily quest.
After death, you will be reborn in the starting, neutral zone.

Mechanics of madness of residents:
You will sometimes be attacked by mad residents. Do not provoke them: if you see signs of madness, do not stand too close to them, and do not look at them intently, otherwise they may not stand and attack you.
nve2rsym0ne2.png
In New Sheoth, there are many dangerous mages among the residents, so keep this in mind.

New mechanics of justice:
If you attacked a guard in the territory of your faction during madness, but then the seal of purification was used, you can either pay a fine or go to prison, from which you can escape.
479otf948egx.jpg
The stolen goods will be confiscated, and your equipment will be blocked, but after getting out of prison, it will be unlocked.

Factions:
You will need to choose a side: Heretics and Golden Saints, or Zealots and Dark Seducers. Accordingly, having chosen one of the sides, the opposite side will become hostile.
27t0woubx4f9.png
Outside of New Sheoth, all players will be neutral, because the madness magic is very weak there, but in New Sheoth it is strong, and there is complete madness.

Invasion mechanics:
From time to time, Mania players will be able to invade Dementia and vice versa, to complete a daily quest.
edlf2a3iw828.jpg
The invading player will be hunted by enemy players, as well as local guards, and the longer the player is in enemy territory, the more guards will begin to pursue him. The player will be able to use Zealot or Heretic disguise, but it does not work at close range.

    As for the Atronach Forge, the recipes can be:
    - spell tomes (they require specific ingredients, instead of ink);
    - skill styles;
    - atronach pets;
    - atronach mounts;
    - atronach style pages;
    - monster sets, available only in the Atronach Forge;
    - randomly enchanted Daedric armor and weapons, including the Nirnforce trait;

    No. We've already seen a deserted Winterhold barely more than the College. If we get Winterhold in ESO, it should present the rest of the city that players wanted to see in TESV 14 years ago.

    It's a good idea and well presented however I think Uncle Sheo has been overdone. If were going to go the Daerdric prince route, I'd like to go with one thar hasn't been focused on much. My first choice would be Sanguine followed by Azura and Namira. The second idea I'd have is having Lyranth come back to resolve the Blackwood/Deadlands storyline.

    As you progress through the storyline, Winterhold's population will be restored...

    Sanguine could have been implemented in the Solstice storyline, is he even there? Or does he only appear once?

    Whatever they do please no more random obscure places like High Isle and Solstice. Fill out and finish the mainland (while also avoiding Telvanni "Peninsula" scaling where you make a tiny region take up a larger portion of the map.

    Why do you think the Vestige who has not only dealt with Sheogorath multiple times and only seems annoyed by them and who felled Daedric Prince Ithelia can succumb to "Madness"

    A lot of people will not go there if they are forced into PvP or attacking random NPCs.

    He is there and he needs your aid, you can even mock the Daedric Prince that he asked for your help.

    I am so tired of Uncle Sheo.

    Can we have another Daedric Prince. Like literally any other one? There are 16 others.

    Sheo is just another one of those examples of a character who was a breakout at one point and then everyone went "omgomgomgomg I want literally every story to revolve around them, and whenever they're not on screen everyone should be asking 'where's Poochie?'" I hate those 'fan-favorites,' and the problem is that so many of them, despite how much they're shoved in our faces, still have so many fans hyping them up to no end every time they show their overused faces.

    Ugh.

    I really love most of these ideas. I just hope that no matter what we really do get to go to Winterhold and that will be how they will implement scribing for class skills.

    And if we’re never going to ever get to go to Winterhold I just wish they would come out and tell us that too so I can give up hope. 🏰

    This is a question for the developers. In the Clockwork City, by the way, we get into two dimensions at once: the clockwork city, and the plane of oblivion Nocturnal, where two main characters appear, Nocturnal, and Sotha Sil. Nothing prevents us from making two or more main characters, several princes at once, in the new chapter.

    Well, since the Vestige encountered Sheogorath and defeated Itelia, maybe he should immediately become immortal?

    Why Sheogorath is shown so weak and pathetic in TESO is not a question for me.

    The main character is presumably Shezarin, a deity in the body of a mortal, remains mortal, and therefore is vulnerable to madness.
    If you do not understand, then such strong madness does not exist on the shivering isles, and if the madness has become much stronger, then there is some reason.
    Everything can be invented, everything can be explained, if you want.

    As for the fact that no one will go to PVP - that's still in question. There will be many new and interesting mechanics, so they will go like crazy. The PVP zone is not big, and can be completely filled with various activities.

    Regarding the justice mechanics: on the shivering islands, if you are caught and sent to prison, you can escape from this prison, and all your fines will be removed.
    Alternatively, increase the difficulty of escape, the greater the fine you had.
    The prison system should be introduced in other locations as well.

    But, what if, and hear me out, we don’t do another Daedric end of the world plot 😅. Really burnt out on this predictable story arc where the side quests are routinely vastly better and the main story is a slog with the same structure every single time.

    It’s just been for unimaginative as of late :/

    You do know the Vestige is Immortal right?, you lose your soul at the start of the game by being sacrificed by Mannimarco, you're not Lorkhan and even if you were where exactly would he be given the Vestige had no soul and when it got returned them it was not the soul of a God, I am 100% sure Molag Bal would of noticed if he had the soul of another God in his possession.
