I asked for it multiple times in the crown store wishlist section, haven't seen it yet, it's been years since last appearance... Would purchase it as soon as I see it but I'm losing hope.
Still, I don't get why they are not putting it back in store.

Not a big fan of "limited time" or artificial scarcity that they utilize in the crown store. Just load that sucker up with all previous purchasable things that aren't crown crates man... you'll make more money too lol. Never understood it.

It's about getting people to buy crowns at full price whenever the limited time items show up, if everything was always available people would be more likely to wait for crown sales before buying anything.

I'm going to be perfectly candid about my opinion of the "Drunk Personality" but I will try to be respectful as well.

This emote shows what appears to be a massively intoxicated staggering drunk. There is no nice way to put this. It's not funny. It's not amusing. In any place, except of course Tamriel, if you were staggeringly intoxicated in public you would be arrested.

I apologize for taking this very seriously but I do recognize that very young people play this game and it sets a terrible example.

My opinion is simply this: drinking is fine; drunkenness is not.

On the other hand, I do use Breda's Bottomless Mead Mug emote, which does not display any drunkenness.

I do not expect ZOS will make any changes to the emote based on my preferences. Apologies to those who differ with me.

    Cheers?

Very young people shouldn't be playing this game and if it were altered with them in mind overland would be all about chasing butterflies with nets instead of running around killing things.
Running someone through and stealing their soul to get a recipe you already know from them is much worse than stumbling about drunk.

When I saw it reappear during New Life years ago, I jumped all over it. It and Jester personality are less common returns, get them while/when you can. Personally it is nice to have some semi rare things, but I think it should return more often slightly.

Apparently young people are much smarter in this regard and not as into drinking as genx and boomers, and if they do they're much more responsible and less likely to binge drink. Or so I've read.

IMO this game should not be played by children, at least under 15-16 anyways. Agreed it clearly mentions the adult warnings for sexual themes, drug/alcohol use. That being said, I was watching adult movies and playing adult games much younger than that. It is up to the parents to do their thing or not. The whole drinking theme is a part of the Nord culture even, visit almost any Nord town/village and there is drinking npc's wandering around staggering.

Murdering people as part of the Dark brotherhood, Stealing items from all over tamriel, Killing creatures and other players in pvp are all fine, but you draw the line at an optional personality because of the way the character appears to be drunk?

Wellyou know what? It IS the Spirit of ESO to role play - and my *character* can also be PRETENDING to be drunk - when using the personality. The Assassin ones could also make very young children think assassinating people is sexy ohno!

Children do not belong here. ESO is PEGI 18 rated/Mature - and their parents are who are meant to be monitoring them. I wouldn't let my kids play this - for many reasons.

Children don't need to/and should not be everywhere. Let adults have some of our own spaces, thanks.

To me, it's not at all about "think of the children." In fact, as someone pointed out above, the "children" (younger generation) seem to be doing fine. More and more, stumbling around in public visibly intoxicated is very frowned upon. It's Millennial and older who have more of a tendency to glamorize it or think it's cool.

I tend to err on the side of live and let live, so I'm all for the personality becoming available again. But I can also see the point of the poster above who is negative about it. Whenever I see someone use it in-game, I immediately form an impression of that person that they must be very immature and/or very fortunate to have somehow never crossed paths with someone who actually stumbled around visibly intoxicated, steadily ruining their lives in the process. There is no such thing as a functioning alcoholic. There's just a period of masking until it becomes harder and harder and then suddenly impossible.

I understand the comparison to the assassin personality and the concept of role-play. It's a good point. For me, the difference is that RP as an assassin is clear fantasy. Most of us, just based on statistics, aren't actually assassins, are not former recovering assassins, and don't personally know any assassins. But almost all of us, if we live long enough, will know an alcoholic or addict, probably someone we care about. It hits different.

    @El_Borracho,
I was expecting you to make a comment about this 😆.

My consensus on this drunken personality is I find it funny af. I believe many guilds have drunk nights where they drink and run naked trials so nothing shocks me lol. I see it all as a bit of fun. I mean there's a brothel in stonefalls and half naked orcs dancing provocatively in cities. This game is very tame compared to others. Even zone chat has toned down a lot. If I was going to let any young person play an rpgmmo game it would be eso cos imo it's quite innocuous.

BUT: Former anything is NOT THE GENERAL PUBLIC'S PROBLEM. For real. People need to take responsibility for themselves (I also get super annoyed wen people are all ban crates because they can't buy them/or can't stop themselves buying more than they should) - and I barely drink - but don't want my choices dictated to me by someone who makes a problem for themselves and then puts the responsibility of it on everyone else. I personally despise that mentality.

Obviously if you have an issue and are a friend coming to my house, I am gonna have the evening be a dry one - but there will still be booze in my house, if you're vegan we are gonna do vegan dinner when you are a guest - but there will be meat in my freezer. We cannot live our whole lives around *someone somewhere might* because that's insane.

There WILL be alcohol, drunks, alcoholics out in the Real World and people need to be self reliant, and accountable for their own choices even so - because *no one can control them but themselves*. People in general need to cultivate some resilience, the same way the rest of us are continually making effort to step around them. There are limits tho, and in a video game - honestly people need to get over it, or just play anything else.

Children dont play eso, they are on fortnite, roblox, minecraft, fifa and many games on mobile too.

I dont know why people still think children play eso, there are probably a few, but I think there are more players over 70 than under 15 here. At some point, it's 2025, and MMOs are mostly for 25-45 year olds.

This emote shows what appears to be a massively intoxicated staggering drunk. There is no nice way to put this. It's not funny. It's not amusing. In any place, except of course Tamriel, if you were staggeringly intoxicated in public you would be arrested.

Where I live, the sight of a very drunk person would cause worry, people would ask that person whether they're alright or whether they need help - by bringing them home safely or calling a doctor, perhaps an ambulance, if the situation seems very severe. It's clear the person needs help, not more trouble. So no, drunk people don't get arrested "in any place except of Tamriel".

I don't find that personality funny either, by the way (and personally rarely drink alcohol). At the same time I think this is a roleplaying game which takes place in a harsh and imperfect world. According to lore, people drink alcohol regularly. People can become addicted. I don't see why it should suddenly be a problem if the player character can appear to be severely drunk as well - it's just part of this fictional world (let alone I'd be more concerned about assassinations including killcam sequences when it comes to what might be inappropriate for potential younger players - but that shouldn't matter either; it's the parents' responsibility if their kids play a game meant for adults).
