Confirmation of consumption: Fragments

It used to be we'd need to collect x number of fragments and when we had the total amount, we'd use them and create the collectible. Now we can consume them as we get them, but there is nothing to indicate that anything has happened (the item simply disappears.) When I first started doing this, I thought I'd simply lost the item to a bug. Could we please have some kind of confirmation that a count has registered? A text in the corner of the screen like when we learn a new recipe or lorebook? Also tell us how many we have consumed so far/how many we need ("x/25").

Thanks, but it's kind of a nuisance to look all those up. I'd just like some kind of visual confirmation that says "(name) 7 of 25 consumed" or something like that.

I don’t know of any of those are available for consoles but for PC:

There is an addon called Kaleido Achievement Items, which adds the completion counter to an achievement item‘s tooltip.

There is also AchievementInfo, which writes gained achievement progress to the chat. This one works well as a visible feedback for progress.

Some fragments have a count on them some dont. Especially older ones. They really need to fix that. Ask me how many duplicate yarn things I bought for the ginger kitty because I kept forgetting I already had one. And I still keep doing it for the sixth house robe, which i only need one more piece for but I'll be dammed if I can remember which one exactly.

Yeah, that was when you only needed like 10 pieces or less and they had distinct names. Then they made it 25 or 50 identical pieces and you had to save them up and use them all at once. Now you can use them one at a time and the first time it just disappeared and I thought I did something wrong and that I should have waited until I had the total amount. It's just badly coded and inconsistent and could be improved.

The lack of a visual confirmation is troubling. I always wonder if something weird might happen when I press the button and it doesn’t register. I now save them all up until I get enough and then use them.
