Question about the ESO Add-On Uploader tool

Is my understanding correct that whenever I create, edit, or delete a release with the ESO Add-On Uploader, the add-on’s status should flip from Published to Draft, so that only I (the developer) can see the new release until I publish it again?

Right now the status only toggles between Published and Has changes—I never see a Draft state. Is that the intended behavior, or am I missing something?

    Has changes = draft state
You can flip it to published by clicking the Publish button

Cheers. I was wondering if there was a way to test it privately on consoles before publishing.

Unfortunately, not that I'm aware of, but I don't have a console myself so I can't really help there. However, it is possible to test them on PC with SetCVar("ForceConsoleFlow.2","1")
That's the best we've got. There's some differences, but it's close enough that I wouldn't worry about it

Apologies for jumping in here. In my case my initial upload has been stuck in draft and says !Cannot publish. The status says Checking release content, i don't know if that is normal or I am missing something.

This seems to be sort of common.

    From Shinni:

for those of you who could successfully upload a new version but are stuck in the uploader at verifiying files:
    - create a new version that is just a single .addon file.
    - your addon now switched to ready to publish state, but of course you dont want to publish an empty version.
    - close uploader. log onto the mod webpage and go to your addon, select manage
    - scroll down to versions, then delete all 3 copies (pc, xbox, ps) of the newly uploaded empty addon/version
    - log back into the uploader tool. the empty version is gone but the ready to publish state remains

If it's a new add-on without an existing version, you can probably just delete it and try again

Thank you so much for your response. Deleting it and trying again seemed to fix the issue!
