Dancer personality is an Apex crate reward, despite being previewable?

Title. It seems unfair to show off this personality, which was responded to with great approval and much memes, in the locked collectibles for us to look at... only to reveal that it's locked behind 400 gems or 8,000 Seals of Endeavor. The fact that it was previewable suggested to me that it would be a Golden Pursuits reward, or perhaps an event morph.

I don't remember other cases of locked collectibles turning out to be Crown Crate rewards—if anyone does, please correct me!—and I believe that it sets a worrying pattern started with the recently-returned Grim Harlequin crates and their Maniacal Jester personality, also an Apex reward.

It looks like the situation with horse that supposed to be a IC reward and got showed into the store.

Hopefully they would remove it and some other crown things from the UI for earnable things.

though the Twilight skill style was also previewable in the past so perhaps it wasn't intended to be previewable.

Does come off as pretty predatory this time around. If the rng was better and there wasn't so much junk that we can get in game it wouldn't be so bad. Looking at you furnishings. My main can craft that no problem. It's a sad trend I've noticed with ESO with them putting more and more stuff in the crates and not their store. I'd gladly pay 1600 crowns for the costume or personality. It doesn't need to be locked by rng. People still buy stuff from their store not just their crates.

I'll go with it being a Legendary reward (100 gem tier) or able to get it for 1600 crowns, as 400 gems is far too much for a personality. Past personalities did not have a steep tag to them and were crown purchasable as well, but why does this one?

Please lower the gem pricing on that, you know people WILL get that for crowns also.

No, I don't either. I was also excited to find out how we could earn this after it appeared as a preview in Collections, and was confused when it appeared in the Crates.

@ZOS_Kevin could we possible get confirmation about whether the Dancer personality will be earnable in-game in the future?

Since so far only earnable personalities have been previewable in the Collections menu, never any Crate/Crown Store ones.

I loved this personality ever since it appeared in the crown crates. Along with other things from the same crates. Granted, I spent 2 months of eso + worth of crowns on said crates, and got a few lucky drops ( hair, some other dances... ) but nothing near the 400 gems personality. I also spent ALL my endeavours and started from 0 (zero) to pile endeavours up for the Dancer from day 1 of crates in store, and what do you know? 2 months worth of endeavours actually GETS you the personality. Talking about freebies... Just a thought...

I would have gotten this but the idle animation is awful. I like the active dance ones though.

I still don't understand why it's in collections if it's a crate exclusive. It's so weird. Other collectibles in crates like the fan dance wasn't in emotes for collectibles. Like if it's a bug. Remove it already.

It makes me think of a toddler who has to pee and is dancing to hold it in, lol.

Lots of ball-dropping going on lately. And their nickname was already fumble-fingers.

The idle is ok, I mean you can't expect a carnaval dancer to stand still in a idle position.

Worst offender imo is the running animation.
Am I going for an Olympic jump ? It is so weird.

I feel it's too exaggerated. A slight swaying back and forth would be okay, but this looks like the character is super high or drunk.
