I already have this pet. I unlocked it at the amsterdam celebration last year.
Do we get anything else in alternative if I have it already?

I'm also curious about this. Felt very nice to have a special pet to remember the event by. Gonna be sad to see it cheapened like this.

It is not . When I click on the preview in the golden pursuit tab it says “ collected .

Agreed, it was nice having something to commemorate a special moment, and signify the people who were there for that. I wish zos had changed the colour, or another small detail, at least.

I sent @ZOS_Kevin a message about this.

It would be cool to get a replacement pet. At the same time, they could run into an issue where they can't find something that nobody has.

One thing though is that the Amsterdam event had a bunch of pet codes like the Atmoran and Eerie Guar. So if it is easy for ZOS to just spit out these types of codes, and I think it is, then it my be nice to have a pick from a few.

It would be nice for the golden pursuit to not be a goose egg, but I'm content either way.

experiences aren't cheapened by rewards being extended to other players, you were still at the event and can still remember it fondly by having a pet from it.

what someone else has doesn't detract from your things or your experiences.

That being said personally if I was ZOS i'd give some consumable / currency reward for players who already had it just so that you are rewarded for doing the endeavours. e.g. 500 crowns

That is something that players should definitely consider when they complain about how other players getting their achievements under more favourable circumstances than the ones they experienced cheapens their own and ask for things to be either nerfed or at least not improved.

We could definitely do with a broader adoption of that 'philosophy' if you will in this forum.

I don't know about the person you've quoted, but here's my perspective on this: if you see someone with the beta monkey, it signifies they were there from the very start. I wasn't there, so I'm fine with not having that pet. In the same vein, the guar signified that someone attended the event, if people who didn't go to event have it, then it no longer signifies anything. And to be clear, I wouldn't mind them releasing the pet with a slight variation, just not the exact same thing.

Of course it doesn't cheapen the experience. But it does cheapen the reward.

I don't understand why ZOS decided to give this pet away in this GP.
Re-using items, that are supposed to be unique and meaningful, is not cool.

No, there is no alternative.

I had mentioned this previously, but it would've been cool if the golden pursuit reward was a mount version of the pet and that pet remained unique to the people that earned it at that event in Amsterdam. Curious why they went this route.
