Does Furniture Vault work like Craft Bag if you drop Plus?

I've looked through previous posts on the Furniture Vault but can't find an answer to this...
You have to be Plus to grab the Vault to begin with, but then if you later drop Plus does it work like the Craft Bag - you can take stuff out but can't put any more stuff in ??
Or once you have Plus and grab it then it continues to work even if you are no longer Plus?
