Templar - Radiant Oppression

Hello,

My Radiant Oppression is dealing 7,651 magic damage per second (29076 Magic damage over 3.8 seconds). I am not sure if this is intended. I do like it though. Please let me know!! It could be a visual bug. I don't have time to test it now. Sorry.

Hey @PDarkBHood are you using Subclassing at all? Just trying to determine what we should be factoring in as we look at this. Thanks!

    Uh, I see nothing wrong?

Did you by any chance check the patch notes for Update 46 that just deployed?

    Hello,

    This is without subclassing.

Yes, I did see the patch notes, but it seems a bit more than the 16% (Increased the damage per tick of this ability and its morphs by ~16%.). I will try to test later today.

We've confirmed with the Combat team that this is correct and working as intended, based on changes in Update 46. Thank you!

@Mofasa are you using Deadly Strike armour set (before/after subclassing)? That is a large jump in magic damage after adding Dawn's Wrath and it would go even higher if you add Deadly strike which increases channeled damage by 15%.

And even higher if you also use the new Tide-Born set that gives another 12% to direct damage against monsters (eg. anything that isn't a player). So Tide-Born plus Deadly is pretty sweet on Templar and Arcanist.

Honestly, I had hard time choosing a subclass since almost all of my chars have personalities that fits their class.
The selection I made was out of curiosity only so I did not think about maximizing the dmg output.
But sure, if you have this 29k channeling dmg and the Oakensoul ring and also use the Macabre set you can run around and pretend you are Zeus or something. Zaaap *splatter* zzzaaapp *splatter* *splatter*

I am at the opposite of the spectrum, ie not a real fan of the changes. I just killed a world boss from the new xpac, and my radiant oppression was doing whimpy (ie meaningless) damage. Need to consider if I keep the skill line now.

Plus I have to redo IF once again, and now after the patch (when I have the desire, and now it's low because I did it a lot), to see if the new jab is working, my second playtesting. I feel that against several boss I will die now.
