UI looks terrible after update. How can I fix it?

After the update that I didn't even buy, the whole UI changed and looks terrible, unlike the menu before the update.
I'm not using any addon to change the UI. So how can I set it to remain as it was?
Even the companion bars are now horrendous and more intrusive:
Is there any way to solve this problem or is this now forced to all players for no reason?

It was so good. Now it looks bad and somewhat like a cheap indie game.
How can I fix it?

It's not hacking, addons are supported. You just drop the addon into your addon folder like any other addon. As for why, I wish we knew. 8 pages on the feedback thread wondering why. How this got greenlit is beyond me. Who is in charge of graphics department to allow from this to that block of intrusiveness? At least if it was 50% more faded, but no.2 -

@ZOS_Kevin This is not correct, right?
You will not be banned for using the addon, the addon is hosted on GitHub since esoui can't handle the file size.1
