Hello, everyone, and welcome to the unofficial official server downtime hangout thread for Patch 11.0.5 - aka Update 46, aka Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1. While we chomp at the bit for the team at ZOS to unveil the patch notes, the time has come for our wonderful ESO community to show off the memes, gifs, and other assorted art they've worked on in anticipation of today's maintenance.

What are my demands? Threefold:

1: Be sure to keep the conversation at a PG-13 rating or below.
2: Memes, gifs, YouTube links, etc. are welcome and HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.
3: There are no other demands/rules.

    i wonder if the patch notes will have anything new compared to the last Pts notes.

    regardless, it'll be nice to see all the changes from the update in one post instead of the different posts each week during the pts cycle.

    i hope the maintenance will go well with as few issues as possible, when it starts in an hour and a half

    correction, for dps, the meta will be arcblade+anything else!
    for tanks there will be some shields stacking, op like nothing
    for heals, let's ditch these dps skill lines and combo 3 healing class :lol:

    Arc will finally be nerfed in a next update (soon@TM), and because jabs copy the arc beam now, plar will be nerfed too so that they can do normal dungeon now, that's it :open_mouth:

    This is my guess.

    Another very interesting thing is what sorcs subclass meta will be - since it's the most frequently used class.
    I am at the edge of my seat for skinny cheeks guides, he's such a treasure trove of great information!

    You don't Need more than 100k for any trial especially now that the meta chasers do way more dmg and can carry people.
    If your guild asks for meta...maybe find a better one.

    Subclassing is fine. They issues are created by the players really

    All I'm asking is that if some combination of subclassing causes big problems with balance and it has to be sorted out, nerf the combination if it has to be done and not the base class.

    "When subclass X is paired with subclass X, skill/passive has X value" instead of "We gonna nerf ya base class so that even those that want nothing to do with subclassing can pay for this mess too."

    I've got no problem with trying subclassing out and don't think it has to turn out bad, just don't want people who'd prefer to keep their original chars as they are to pay for any problems that could arrive.

    Wow they nerfed battle roar. I'm mainly templar but my second most used char is dk, gutted to see that. They also completely shifted the health and stam recovery from having a sorc pet skill on your bar over to the storm calling skill line. That would've been one of the biggest helps for me if having a pet with subclassing on my templar, not good. Jabs also get a bit of a healing nerf for templar too when used if only fighting against one player (increases against several though.) I suppose that's understandable even if I'm not totally happy with it.

    One good thing : originally I was going to just get bird of prey from warden for templar and have the recovery passive to help, and that's been boosted so that's great. Maybe my subclassing will just be slotting bird of prey instead of race against time and having that recovery passive to go with it for the time being.

    Still can't believe they nerfed battle roar. *shakes head*

    This is also really cool. Gonna have to go back to this set to try it out. Used to make me laugh when it worked a bit in pvp but it was too slow and hard to get working properly before :

    "Mad Tinkerer: This set’s Verminous Fabricant is no longer a summoned entity with AI and instead is a visual effect that completes the attack immediately. This change was done to reduce the likelihood of the creature getting stuck in a repetitive loop or attempting to roll towards a target it could not reach, which wasted its proc. This also means it will no longer count as a summon for interactions with other effects."

    wish they would have changed the sorc pets to stay active when not on your active bar. i miss my sorc pets as an arcanist main now. but with them still being the same? Eh, not sure if its worth trying to squeeze them into my arcanist :(

    Yes they nerfed the Templar, his soloing capacity, against bosses and in PvP single targets, like they slightly did in U35 (healing was lowered). I thought nobody would see it.
    Not the thread to discuss it though. :)

    The new UI is honestly quite ugly. It looks large and blocky, the simplification adds a mobile app vibe.

    To get Conjured Ward to heal you you need to have an active pet.

    As my main is non pet using sorcerer I'm pissed right now. They took away the class based self heal they finally gave us after 10 years of asking for one. Now Sorcerers only get a class self heal if they also give up a skill slot or two on BOTH bars making for a less versatile and boring build. In PvP that will translate to people using this skill to have healing shield with the healing pet. In PvE it limits how utilitarian I can be in group play and forces me to use a healing staff for solo play. So much for "play as you want" I guess.

    A better way to make this change would have been to simply reduced to amount of healing Conjured Ward does when there are no pets active not completely remove it. Doing that would to encourage pet use with this skill line if that's what they really wanted. Now there is no point using the Conjured Ward unless I want to stack shields. The healing staff shield is just as effective and still heals so why use Conjured Ward at all?
