Revamping the old zones...in other animalistic ways

So as we know, ZOS is going back and revamping old zones in the way they look (having already started with the starter zones), but I think that in addition to the flora and other environmental factors, it'd also be nice to see some of the creatures often advertised in the crown store/crates, normally as mounts or pets, wandering around the world of Nirn and the outer realms of Oblivion. I'm sure more people have thought about this too, tho I thought and sought to create this topic now because of the recent mount that is currently in the store, the "Buraniim Isle Ornaug." The creature's description states that "The shallows of Buraniim Isle are rife with a unique subspecies of ornaug. Vibrant and playful, these ornaugs have been known to splash in the surf to attract the curiosity of would-be prey." Now obviously when you go to Buraniim Isle in Auridon, this is not the case, as there are no Ornaug splashing in the surf (or anywhere outside of The Systres Islands)...but maybe one day they could be there. I understand why they might not be there currently as it's an old zone in need of revamps/want to keep the mount rare, but maybe one day the world could actually be filled with these colorful crown store mythical fauna. Especially when their descriptions are written as such.

Now definitely not every crown store mount should be wandering around in a pack or just out and about, as some are somewhat legendary, but maybe some could be delve or public dungeon bosses, or some could be very hidden and you can just catch a glimpse of it from a vista. I think it would be very interesting (in my opinion) to see the world more populated and fleshed out in ways like this.

And also of course this isn't the most important thing for the game, but I just wanted to express my thoughts, and see if anyone agreed or not, or wanted to add anything.

    yes that would be wonderful!
i hope the Buraniim Ornaug get added there.

I'd also love to see the Grahtwood Fisher in Grahtwood. there's so many pets like it that would be awesome to see in old zones.

    some others:
    - High Rock Red Lemur.
    - Carmine Wood Moth, its description mentions Valenwood.
    - South Weald Prairie Dog, its description mentions Northern Valenwood so probably Reaper's March.
    - Orchid Whisper Moth, its description mentions Evermore so i imagine it could be in most of Northern Bangkorai
    - Evermore Painter's Moth, same as the Orchid moth.

I would like this only if they fit the area without being too flashy. For instance, I would not ever like to encounter voidmother welwas in the wild. There is a reason why I dislike almost every apex reward mount I have ever seen.

Agree with OP and I would put emphasis on the fact that rare mounts being world bosses make people desire more said mounts.
Since Indrinks' inception I had my preferences in colours butwith the golden one being a Summerset WB, it was way more appealing than the others just for that specific reason.

Anyway, the more pets, mounts, costumes and anything from crates out in the wild, the better.

Absolutely 💯, there's really nowhere for some of these mounts to go, especially when theres no corresponding realms for some of them. Some Apex mounts could be bosses, while some could be like part of a quest or part of a locale (like the Carnaval Guar with the feathers could be a single Guar walking around the grounds of a festival), and even some could just not be used. Everything in moderation of course.

Non combat pets should be very rare world encounter. Like 1 in 10000 or only shows up at a certain day time. They are neutral and you can pet them. And when you pet them, they become your pet. Like a pokemon game. It might be that only 1 in 10000 of that pocket mammoth can be petted.

Ppl would always have their eyes peeled for that rare pet. And they would go hunting for them. There might be clues in lorebooks that hint when and where but they would be needle in a haystack. So rare that you could play for a year and never see one.

Eso doesnt have a rare spawn mechanism. The only rare thjngs are inside containers. It might be because of how severs are set up.

Infective vampires and werewolves. I don't know how often they spawn, but I've only seen them once (once each) in 9 years of playing this game.

I like the idea, I think it takes away the disconnect that naturally comes from a lot of premium stuff, and instead grounds them in the game's world. Being a cynical man, I'd put forward that ZOS could also use this as marketing for their premium stuff, seeing as it's out in the world and people who would ordinarily ignore the store might be tempted to buy it...?

    ~

On an unrelated note, my first thought seeing this thread was what World of Warcraft did with their Iron Skyreaver mount before Warlords of Draenor's release: selling it as premium, and then when the WoD Alpha/Beta came out people said the NPCs with that skin were "just a placeholder" until launch.

They were not placeholders. A shame too because there were loads of lore/world appropriate times where it could've been unlocked by players without the use of a credit card.

I know I have a bit of a cynical take, but a lot of the crownstore stuff is pretty flashy. ZOS said that the crownstore offerings are "quasi-lore", which tells me that it doesn't have as much creative control as the stuff put in the world.

I'm not against people buying the shiny mounts that make them happy, btw. Or the occasional mount in a city stables where it makes sense.

It would be positive if in all areas of the game (areas of the base game, areas of the chapters, areas of the DLCs and the new areas of seasons) include more basic animals (zebras, wild horses of different types, moles, turtles of different types, beavers, etc.).

Literally the game maps are full of NPCs of different cults or features related to the stories of the areas that you can only eliminate and in many cases they are annoying for the players when the players are only going through the next area to the NPCs.

NPCS of different cults or features related to the stories of the areas should only be on the maps of the areas when the player has activated a mission with NPCs are related.

If the player has not activated a mission that is related to these NPCs, these NPCs should not appear on the map of the area.

An example of this is when you fulfill the mission of any farm or a bastion and these NPCs remain in the area most of the time being hostile towards the player.

They could be implemented in the game herds of animals that inhabit the areas and can be hunted by the players to obtain kitchen ingredients (turtle meat, hare meat, cow meat, horker meat, etc.), manufacturing materials (skin, soft skin, thick skin, wolf skin, bone, etc.), alchemy materials (fat, murderous fish spines, firefights, fire salts, scarce salts, etc).

It would also be fine if animals release specific materials of each animal (the horker release ivory without polishing, hurtive meat, bones, fat, etc).

The Horker in The Elder Scroll Online nothing more that they release when they are eliminated by the players:

    white meat, a kitchen ingredient.

Guisar meat, a mission object related to the mission "Meat for the Massses" in the Wrothgar area.

Pulido ivory, a furniture for houses.

It would also be necessary to modify the game's craft system so that players need to hunt and look for materials to move forward with their characters (doing this would make players need to travel the map of the areas to find specific materials and ingredients, causing the areas outside the cities to be more populated).

He would also add animal bosses with more level than animals of their species that contain more resources than the standard animals of their species (these animals would not be bosses of world, they are only stronger animals than the animals of their species).

High isle, Amenos, and Galen only have the regular Ornaug on land and in water, which is the same as the Amenos Ornaug mount.

Auridon does not have any Ornaug currently.
at least i don't recall ever seeing them, have you seen them?

No, but I haven't been there in a while. (edit: just jogged around the isle a few times; no luck.)
I think I probably assumed too much with my assumption.
(I had forgotten where Buraniim was, actually, and was thinking it was closer to High Isle and Galen.)
