Guile Bank theft question

Oh Hello, just a question really about evil toxic sneak thieves in guilds that if have permissions to take things out, later steal the entire bank and leave the guild.

I have heard somewhere or read it, that this is a bannable offence per zos?

Is that a actual policy and if so is there a link to it, and or, was that just a reference to simply reporting it and it becomes a case by case basis and not an actual auto policy here at zenimax?

Thank you. And no further questions on my part.

While it never hurts to submit a ticket (including any evidence that a withdrawal policy/rules was posted for members or you have proof of this person admitting they knew they were breaking guild rules), I suspect ZOS is going to point at the permissions system that's in place where guild management chooses which ranks can or cannot withdraw items or gold.

If there's an actual policy addressing guild bank item "theft", I've never seen it.

More flexibility with these permissions (such as daily withdraw limits or different sections within the bank that can have different permissions) has been long-requested.

As it stands now, most guilds use guild banks in one of the following ways:

    - Bank is completely open to all members to give & take (and generally not super high value itemss)
    - Bank is locked for member withdrawals, members can request items
    - Bank is completely locked down except for officers and is used for guild storage

With the guild banks in our 2 guilds, we do the latter. Members cannot deposit or withdraw items and we use it to store auction items & raffle prizes. We found early on that open banks encounter the situation you described and/or the banks become a dumping ground for very low value stuff and require too much time & effort to sift through and organize.

For item donations, we picked up cheap accounts that people can mail items to.

I had something like this happen had a long term friend that stole from the guild bank and ZOS told me.
Its a grey area because I gave him guild bank withdraw permissions so its technically not stealing. In my case he was still mass reported by the guild. I had screenshots and messages and he never got banned either and after submitting a ticket I never got the gold and items back so your probably out of luck.

So its not a bannable offense really I would still report him and submit a ticket you never know but it didn't work out for me.
