Thank you for all your replies.

Yes, I realise I should have done it earlier. In hindsight it is easy to see that but perhaps harder to execute sometimes in real life. I had been away from my computer for a while so was rushing to get it done. Though usually a committed player (with 9k hours to my name - ouch when did that happen), I'd not been able to get onto ESO for the most of May.

When I suddenly saw it was a house I beetled away (yes, I did want it but was late to the party ImmortalCX, so I feel your comment is a little harsh). I couldn't get online on the 28th as planned and thought, mistakenly, and having forgotten ESO's strange set up of half days acting as full days, that I could pop on after work (which makes even their half days not useable) on the 29th to basically login and then finish a couple of already started quests - two tasks that would have made me a very happy bunny.

Please do not question my time on this game and that I should have done it earlier or commitment to housing (I have spent weeks on builds). In the real world, sometimes life throws you a curveball, sometimes one forgets and just sees the end goal rather than delve into the minutiae (something I won't be doing again), sometimes we are not perfect, and all I am suggesting is a little flexibility.

Perhaps ... a. EU servers should have an event time that finishes either at midnight on the day they say and not in the middle of a work day when most people can't get on anyway. b. There perhaps, for an event as big as this and in the spirit of the 10 year anniversary, is offered a safety net of say being able to purchase up to 5 tasks if necessary after the event or to pay to have an open-ended extra 24 hours to complete it in the form of a token. c. It could also have been done like the Hall of the Lunar Champion where at least you get something or a smaller house, even if you don't manage to finish (this may also have been desirable as most of the houses these days are far too massive to do anything with and the housing community often just block sections off). I have invested a lot of time and money (ESO+) in this game - the house really should have been a ESO anniversary award in any case or a questline like the Hall of the Lunar Champion... I don't eat cake.

I tend to agree that it's very strange to have cutoff points at arbitrary times of day. Just run it to the end of the day in the latest time zone on each server. It's hard to imagine some kind of software limitation would prevent this.

Yes, Northwold, you wouldn't think it was rocket science as they can and often do separate maintenance. Ending events at as nigh on near to the end of the European day (I realise there would be an hour or two leeway among timezones) would give those who can't get on in the daytime the feeling that they are getting the equivalent service to those who can.

No need to be angry, this one is only on you.

I think there should be some sort of "Procrastinator" achievement for times like this. B)

I believe this one is done.

You've said "ending events at midnight on EU" and implied that NA doesn't have that problem.

Please remember that this is a problem with every event - it ends at 10:00 ET, which is 16:00 CET. That means that EU gets more time on that last day than NA does. It's especially problematic with ticket events, because the daily reset is around 5 am for each server (+/- 1 for DST), so EU will have around 12 hours to get that last day of tickets while NA has 5 hours at most (4 during DST) and that's both during the morning commute to work and overlaps with the maintenance window.

Let's not pretend NA has it easier than EU in this regard.

The solution would obviously be for every event to also start and end at the server reset so there are no partial days ever. Otherwise, we need to know the specific reset for our server and take that into account.

Perhaps this why why I do the longer chores faster? I try to do weekly endeavours on the 1st day, I hate forgetting things. This Goöden Pursuit was a month long, as I very well know, I recognize my lazy procrastinating self so I did it as quick as I could on one server.

Why? To counteract my inherent laziness, LOLs at myself. Procrastination is potentially a damaging personal trait.

However the main reason was that I went walking into this house preview and was gobsmacked. Literally salivating as a housing enthusiast. I got it done quickly.

On the other server I could take this task in a more organic way, so to say, normal gameplay for 1 month:
Conclusion - That worked as well.

Yes, procrastination is the thief of time, LalMirchi. It was a mix of real life issues which meant I didn't have a month, it not being on my radar for a while, and me not remembering the 1/2 day.

Calastir - perhaps so, but only if it is a house? :)
Eliahnus - angry at myself, frustrated at the event times
tomofhyrule - that may be a solution

As pixiepumpkin said - I believe this one is done.

Thank you for the time you all took to reply.

If you're going to procrastinate to this extreme then the reward obviously wasn't as important to you as you think it was. So just let it go.
