Companion Q-wheel fully non-functional?

Seems like about all I can get to happen with that setup is to assign a companion to a companion Q-wheel slot. I have not been able to find a way to summon the critter, nor to dismiss it. I'm like, why have that if it does nothing? Anyone able to get it to work?

On a gamepad you navigate to the wheel, select the companion and it will call them up or dismiss them. Same with bank, ragpicker etc.

Mine works. Assign them to the Allies quickslots, they summon as expected.

You can't summon companions in combat, in PvP zones, or solo arenas.

Turns out that the issue was Greymind Quick Slot addon. That puppy supports only the Inventory Q-wheel, not the Companion Q-wheel. Once I shut off Greymind, companion Q-wheel selections began to function. Thanks for the tips, it was a bit tricky there for a while!

Ya, its not exactly intuitive. I just learned how to use the additional slots the other day (took me forever to figure out how to put companions in their slot group).
