Vvardenfell Delves

Howdy!

I am looking for help regarding Vvardenfell delves. Specifically, the Skyshards. I have already fully completed this zone on my main and today I decided to work on the first alt I ever created. He's a Dragon Knight (which THOROUGHLY hate) and since creating him more than a year ago I hardly ever play him questing. I usually ONLY run a daily random normal dungeon and the occasion crafting daily for an Endeavor or Golden Pursuit.

I have already completed at least two of the Vvardenfell delves but with Account Wide Achievements I have NO IDEA which ones and my legend shows all six completed. This is extremely maddening as Vvardenfell is NOT the easiest zone to travel around. In fact, it's downright hateful (PLEASE ADD MORE WAYSHRINES TO VVARDENFELL!) I have ZERO interest in buyiung Crowns to purchase the remaining Skyshards. My Dragon Knight needs a practice and finding and completing them is a win in my book.

But that's my problem. How do I find them without wasting hours traveling ALL over this God forsaken zone? Is there a way to turn off Account Wide Achievements so I can see ONLY the ones them this alt has done?

It's a minor problem since I hardly ever quest this alt. But if I stay interested in questing this alt or if I get interested again in future I would like to sustain that interest by making this task easier/ quicker.

The map may show the delves as having been done, but if a given character hasn’t collected the skyshard from a given delve yet then hovering your mouse pointer over the delve on the map should say whether or not the skyshard has been collected.

If we open the map then mouse over Skyshards in the zone completion list it will show which specific ones that character has done and which it hasn't.

This was the first thing I thought of. Unfortunately, it shows my alt as having acquired every delve Skyshard. I have not taken then time to run all over the zone yet to see which ones I have and have not acquired. Vvardenfell is a VERY tedious zone to navigate and I just don't have the patience for it right now. It was bad enough when I did it on my main.

I have no memory of doing all the Vvardenfell delves a second time. Just that I did exactly two of them - just not which two. Since I have really not quested much on this alt I don't have another zone with which to check to see. But I suppose I could just go to Glenumbra or Wrothgar and see what those maps show on this alt.

If and when I do that I will update this thread. It would be nice to turn off Account Wide Achievements so that I can keep my alts separate from my main in what they have completed.

I just checked on this alt in game and it seems that I must have collected all of the Vvardenfell delve Skyshards already. I honestly have no memory of ever collecting them on this toon. Only my main. I guess I was worried/ upset for nothing. All of the remaining Vvardenfell Skyshards are in the Public Dungeons and overland.

I feel pretty silly right now. Not Monty Python silly but silly nontheless.

He didn't need addons to get the answer to what he was asking, because the game's default UI gave him the answer.

The problem was, he didn't believe the answer he got from the game's default UI, but now he does because he has verified for himself that he'd indeed already collected the skyshards in question.

If he'd rejected the answer the game gave him because he was convinced he hadn't collected all of the skyshards in question, why do you think he would have accepted the exact same answer just because it came from some random addon, when he'd already decided that that answer couldn't possibly be correct (until after he'd verified its accuracy for himself)?

Funny I had the same thing happen this weekend. I've been hunting skyshards on my NB and in several zones the delve icon was white and it showed the skyshard as being acquired. However when going to the map it showed some of the skyshards like number 10 and 11 for example as not being found. I go into the delves and they are indeed not acquired. I'm on PS4/5 though. What is odd is I have been in those delves before during events and I'm fairly sure I have collected the skyshards.

It's always possible you're simply remembering collecting them on a different character, or that part of the delve is similar enough to another delve to be confused. There seem to be a number of common floor plans (or elements of floor plans), most noticeably for Ayleid ruins.

BTW the map does something similar for world bosses - if you've killed one on any character, the skull-and-crossbones marker will be white. However, when you get close to it, the equivalent compass marker will be black if that specific character has not yet done the fight.

CONFIRMED!

I spent some time doing a few quests and exploring in Auridon on another alt (A Templar) and her Auridon map shows her having collected all the Delve Skyshards even though she has only completed two of the six Delves.

Also, she has only completed two of the World Bosses in Auridon - I remember doing both with her - and as soon as she stumbled upon a third that she has yet to do the map icon switched from black to white within a few seconds. I checked her Legend for Auridon and it shows her having defeated all but one of the Auridon World Bosses even though she has only explored less than 25% of the zone and only defeated two World Bosses.

Because of this latest development it looks like I will have to go through the long, boring and tedious task of revisiting every Delve in Vvardenfell with my Dragon Knight just to make certain that I have all the Skyshards on that toon.

Account Wide Achievements NEEDS to be undone.

I can confirm this happens. I have a night blade toon I use for PVP and have never hunted for skyshards in some zones. When I go into the map and then the part which shows zone achievements it shows I have let's say 4 out of 12 skyshards. BUT when I hover my mouse over delves it shows skyshard acquired in all the delves I hover over. I go into a delve and the skyshard shows up as not collected when I'm actually inside the delve. So unless you are in the delve you cannot tell if you have it or not. I just noticed this a few months ago and not sure if it's happening in all zones but this happened to me in Apocrypha.

This needs to be changed to at least show undiscovered when hovering and possibly get rid of the white coloring on the delve. The achievement can stay or go as far as I'm concerned however.
