I have little to no interest in the new zone/trial etc but I was greatly impressed by the sheer amount of thoughtfulness and care that I've seen from the developers regarding the introduction of subclassing so I would feel very guilty if I was blessed with this gift from the heavens without any of my money moving in the opposite direction.

Every year's new content up to 2024 cost about $50AUD to upgrade - I never bought the deluxe editions. This year's is $85. I'm not willing to part with that amount of money before I see what it's like, especially given it's not accessible on PTS.

They're using the term 'season' differently, is all. They aren't doing the yearly cadence any longer, and I believe they went with 'season' because it can encompass different amounts of time.

Already pre-ordered after I learned about subclassing. It's the ONLY reason I'm returning to the game, and even though it's a base game addition, I wanted to support ZOS in this decision.

Though I bought the pass and 1 year plus as usual, I wouldn't have bought it if I have carefully read the patch note.... Next time I will be more careful if there is a next time.

I will wait for it to go on Sale.

It is not fair for players that already play the game to spend so much on this pass, where as new playes will get all all previous chapters and the pass for just a bit more.

I know this is aiming to bring new or returning players to ESO but it is a slap on the face for players that already enjoy the game and play it regularly.
Why pay for something where at a similar price other people are getting a lot more value out of it. It is just disrespectfull.

The game is going in directions I don't think are my sort of fun. And that's when I quit games - when fun isn't happening. Nope. Its a chapter cut in half and given to you throughout the year in small pieces for more money. Now to be fair, they did say this is a “transitional year,” but in typical ZOS fashion, its underbaked and they didn't give us any sort of communication on structuring and changes coming with seasons as a whole next year, which would be wonderful.

I'm a bit suspect at the new content drop model but this game is my mainstay for now. The only thing that will change that is if Subclassing ends up being as bad as I fear it to be, in which case, once they start to try to prune back the power, I'll pull back from the game and play something else, like Oblivion or Skyrim.

Why wouldn't I continue to support the game I get thousands of hours of enjoyment from, especially when the pass gives more content to enjoy...

Sure subclassing is a free update for everyone, and is the biggest thing to come to ESO since One Tamriel, but the new story and zone, and to participate in the writhing wall server-wide event/see the world change over time this year, make the purchase well worth it to me.

It's basically a chapter with fewer features (no ToT update, no companions, no new system, smaller zone split in two and staggered over the year) for more money. The dungeon packs overlap with the money I am already dedicating to the game through ESO plus. Thankfully there are no must have sets included this time. If I were to buy at full price, I feel it rewards this model of shrinking content and charging more.

The system we are getting, subclassing, isn't part of the content pass. IMO it needs much more refinement and development time before it is ready to launch. It's going to be a big disruption to the game.

I've been playing basically continuously since launch. In the past I've always preordered every chapter and paid full price. In most cases I bought the deluxe edition. This time, all of the issues above add up to causing me to pause and wait. I'll likely get it eventually, but there's no way I'm paying full price for so little content. It can wait and I can keep myself busy until it is heavily discounted or it becomes available through plus.

The 2025 season pass is the content for all year and once you buy it you own it. ESO+ costs as much as the season pass in a little over 3 months and you don't own anything.

They should probably bundle year of eso plus lite (no crowns) in there. Then that would be a reasonable value proposition for me.
