The practical possibility of Historians using Necromancy to record the past
One of my many shower thoughts,
It's pretty common practice for Mages, usually Necromancers, to Summon Spirits from Aetherius for information, asking the dead for their knowledge of when they were still alive. There doesn't seem to be many restrictions or hoops to jump thru to do this, and it seems any Spirit could be Summon no matter when they had passed.
So then, what's stopping an organization of Historians using Necromancy to summon Spirits that had been alive in previous Eras for their recounting of Historical Events?
