Unable to Use Targeted Abilities

recently, I've noticed that sometimes I will get "stuck" in a place (usually after teleporting or swapping zones) where I'll be unable to use targeted abilities. Reloading my UI doesn't work; it's happened both on EU and NA, on two different classes-- Sorcerer and Nightblade. (couldn't figure out how to upload a video but in the screenshots, you can see that while I have a valid target, the abilities that require a target are both greyed out.

    @ZOS_Kevin This is a very serious bug happening more and more often, and as of now, hasn't been addressed in the PTS.

    I don't run into it often but I have had this occur, I could only kill with pets, companions, or ground aoe until I zoned or relogged out/in.

    I ran into this twice today on the first boss of vet Bedlam Veil, I have done it probably hundreds of times without issue though. I am not sure what is causing or a simple fix. Death doesn't clear your inability to target the boss/mobs. This would be pretty serious if you were in a no death/trifecta group.

    Thankfully the group was able to just kill the boss without me the first time, and I was able to target everything after that for the rest of the run. This last group ended up disbanding.

    One more thing I did notice was that the game sound seemed weird, like layers or parts of the game sound were muted or missing when this issue pops up. I think it may occur mostly when transitioning from zones or through soft zones like dungeon doors.

    Hopefully this is a known issue and can be fixed with U46. :#

    I'm not sure I agree. I've had the IC issue on and off for a few years now (PS5 NA) and can pretty much always fix it by dodge rolling. I first had this new issue in an ordinary overland zone just a couple days ago and the only fix was relogging (even /reloadui didn't work).

    I think zoning seems to fix it, death or /reloadui do not. I did a quick leave instance and teleported back to the leader of the dungeon group. I was pulled back into the first boss and things went fine after that.

    I've also noticed this recently. Some enemies appear to be untargettable, but can still be damaged by AoE abilities. I used /bug to report, but not really sure what causes it.

    Maybe a long shot, but does everyone who experiences this have Mages Guild Recall set to activate? I wonder if the post-warp portal animation could have something to do with it since that was a recent change.

    Yep happened to me yesterday. Single target skills will not work but the AOE`s that can be casted at anytime does which makes Vet dungeons and Trials hard to do. I`ve reported this for years and no fix, maybe a fix someday but I doubt it.

    I got this for one boss in Castle Thorn. Fully logging out and back in didn't fix it, but zoning did.

    Ran into this in a BG against another player during the relic weekend event. A capture the relic game where an enemy player was holding our relic. After a few failed attempts to kill him resulting in many deaths, I came back to try again, only to find that he was completely untargetable, and nothing I tried to hit him with ever fired, with a bit of lag and me standing still resulting in my death.

    Something like this has been throwing my last few bedlam tri runs. Can't reliably target adds with my chain and often have to hit taunts twice to make them go off. I seen my chain literally streak off directly behind me WHILE BOTH tab targeted and in crosshair to a different add in front.

    Targeting in this game is absolutely broken. They should just get rid of it completely and make everything that's amiable a small aoe you can point.

    The issue in IC from that post is NOT fixed by dodgerolls. The only thing that fixes the issue in the linked post is re-zoning or re-logging.

    I run more trials and dungeons than IC, tho I've never had it in trials or dungeons, but guaranteed in IC, which I only run every 6 days (trials and dungeons almost daily).

    I've mostly encountered it in dungeons with the mini-zone in through doors. I also encountered it once on a newbie I was leveling, that was the first time. I am guessing any "zone" change that doesn't actually totally change zones can trigger it. As to what, I have no clue is causing it. I imagine if you were in a trifecta, this would be pretty game breaking.

    @ZOS_Kevin any eta when we will see some bug fixes? I didn't notice much listed in U46 notes, I hope they will just be stealth fixed. This, IA Marauder, and I'm sure a few other bugs would be nice to see fixed sooner rather than later.
