Perma Sprint?

Hey guys, not sure where this belongs because I’m not even sure if it’s a bug?

I came back to the game last night, first time in a year and immediately noticed my running animation was off. I’m stuck in the sprinting animation wherever I go but I’m not using stamina. I can begin to sprint which does actually seem to increase my speed and use up Stamina, but my default speed is still huge.

I thought it may have had something to do with having minor expedition from my Oakensoul ring but after taking it off nothing changed.

Has anyone else experienced this? Am I missing something after a year being away?

Two things to check for;
1. Steed mundus.
2. Champion points in "Steed's Blessing" under the green craft tree.

Maybe also check the passives on your gear.

Vampire Stage 4 + Prisoner's Rags Set = 100% Sprint Cost Reduction

Also armor passives reduce sprint cost by a %, mundus steed, champion points, and so on can all make sprinting cheap.

Max non-mounted speed is capped at 200% even when you sprint. (ravspeed addon)
Mounted max speed is 300% (ravspeed addon)

I had two harvester build for my argonian.
Current using:
- swift jewelery
- Minor expedition buff (have NB argonian so fast swim and Concealed Weapon on bar)
- Major expedition buff (Adept Rider set)
- Steed's Blessing green star
- Celerity red star.
And you are at speed cap. No need to touch the sprint key anymore.
If you will have Wild Hunt ring, you can adjust some things and have max speed easily and on mount even without touching sprint.

Some personalities have animation for jogging and it will play if your speed is bellow sprint but above walk.

Maybe you accidentally put on a Ring of the Wild Hunt instead?

Ok so I worked it out, I had a total of 30% extra movement speed via CP, then minor expedition via Concealed Attack passive, then a bunch of other sources so that’s why I look like I’m sprinting even when I’m walking or sneaking.

I thought it was unintentionally happening because surely it’s a bug to have you sprinting even after toggling walk but nope apparently not.

I'm glad you worked it out.

The extra walking speed is awesome when you make a new character and your horse is as sluggish as a sloth running in treacle.
