New players can get season pass for £8

Absolutely disgusted.

Current pricing on Microsoft store:

ESO deluxe collectors edition: £51.99 (20% off) includes Morrowind - Gold Road (2024)

ESO 2025 premium pass: £59.99 (20% off) Morrowind - 2025 content

The only difference between the two packs is the 2025 pass, which makes the difference of £8.

Why do I, as an eso plus member and player of 10 years, have to pay £45, when others (probably not many let’s be real) only have to pay £8?

Absolutely ridiculous. This is a dark path for eso.

If you want to make this argument about bundled pricing at least compare the correct editions. The premium edition is not equivalent content to the deluxe collection. The deluxe collection includes a bunch of extra cosmetics. There is no deluxe edition of the season pass.
regular season pass is equivalent to upgrade edition
premium season pass is equivalent to the regular collection.

It's more like they're they're bundling all the old content for a big discount. It's a good way to get new players into the game with the feeling that they're getting more.

It's how about every MMO prices their content for a few good reasons, and the same way that single-player games go on sale after a year (and sometimes sooner).

The basegame is like $10-20, so with that that Collection they're still paying $40 for the new content. If anything, the Gold Road listing is outdated and probably going to leave the store, just like Necrom and High Isle and all the other old bundles.

new players have always been better off buying the discounted content at the end of the season/chapter/year. Probably 75% discount for the whole content package.

When I returned to ESO in 2023 after a hiatus I was a former PC player, but I saw the Necrom Tamriel Unlimited for $20 in the playstation store and couldn't pass it up and switched to PSNA server.

If you're upset about the price now... wait until after Season Part 2 releases. You'll likely see it drop down similar to what I paid (if not sooner).
