Feedback On Nearly Non Existent Thieving Event Furnishings

Hey ZOS, I just wanted to take a moment to say how disappointed I am in the limited time thieving event. Not only are the drop rates of the bags incredibly low, but what's even lower is the drop rate of the new furnishings within said bags. I play on Playstation NA and at first I thought it was my own usually terrible RNG at work again. After spending many, many hours and getting some 30ish (give or take) bags, I got only a single furnishing. I checked traders and saw that only a couple listings existed with prices of 1 to 2 million for a single furnishing- telling me just how rare it was. Housing is my main gig in the game and I was exited for new furnishings, even if they were similar to ones that already existed. This made me quite sad. I really hope you can find a way to rectify this in the near future so players can actually feasibly obtain these.

it would be nice if those event furnishings get added to a merchant in the future.

Like the Holiday Furnisher (as it's event furniture)
or the Outlaws Refuge Merchants (they sell other crime related furniture).

Has anyone found a decent way to farm this event, outside of Elam Drals Dark Brotherhood contract quests?
I think I've gotten 3-4 bags from pickpocketing (or looting thieves troves or safeboxes? I can't remember if I've gotten any from those).

I farmed Ontus in West Weald for them, its north and slightly west of the main city. Its a settlement with eight interiors grouped together (nine if you do the Constable quest in the area, eleven if you go to the outlying buildings - which is neither necessary or all that time efficient), and a few open stalls and buildings with NPC's you can pick-pick-stab.

Every buildings containers count as stolen, there are many, many Trunks, Dressers and Backpacks, and every buildings containers reset when you leave and re-enter, and there are 4-5 safeboxes. The settlements street also has one single guard that paths back and forth and a single normal Treasure Chest spawn against a wall. Most of the NPC's are commoner types, with a few Hunters, an Assassin, a Priest and a Noble. There are something like 15-20 NPC's you can pickpocket from, though they respawn so fast that I haven't kept track.

This is the area I have been farming for Furnishing patterns and stolen furniture items - between all of the containers and having Azandar with me its been an excellent spot for them. I've also gotten between 20-30 of the event's containers - but the OP is right. The drop rate for anything meaningful from them absolutely sucks - that or RNG hates me. I have gotten 0 of the furniture items and zero furniture recipes from the pouches.

This makes me want to not even bother. If an efficient farmer can't get anything, there's really not much point in trying to do it extremely casually.

I've used the event as an opprtunity to level Dark Brotherhood skill line on alts, mainly by doing Elam Drals repeatable quests, as they can be done fast with a stealth build, and give a guaranteed event pouch.
I've collected about 70-80 pouches, not a single recipe drop.

Same, the shadowy rider and supplier passives are nice. I did get a coin pile a bit ago, I have been farming the event everyday and that is the 3rd furnishing I've found. So pretty rare.

I do wish the thieves guild board counted similarly, as I would have leveled that line more as well.

While I agree that the drop rate is horrendously low, it's probably important to know that they're not supposed to be dropping recipes. So if that's what you're farming for, you're never gonna see them.

Yeah, with how short the event is and how limited the rewards are, it's like the event is practically non-existent. I tried it for about 20 minutes after seeing everyone talking about how bad it was, and I came to the same conclusion that it wasn't worth the time. Haven't bothered with it.

Exactly my result, and I leveled the DB skill line of 5 toons from 1 to 7 for the Shadow Rider passive. It was something I wanted anyway, so I figured I might as well do it during the event. But if I had been aiming only for the drops, I would have been extremely disappointed in all that effort for one single coin furnishing.

Wasn't worth the effort at all unless one is a new player / has a new character and is trying to level up the relevant skill lines anyway.

After initially trying to engage with the event and getting no worthwhile rewards, I ended up just doing 1 thieve's guild and 1 DB daily each day for the event. I did get one furnishing drop but that's it. It was a nice idea but the execution on events like this needs work.
