After the new patch notes Beams will now be considered Direct Damage and Channeled Damage.
So does that mean Lightning Staves with Ancient Knowledge leveled receive double bonus?

There are already skills in the game that are channeled direct damage attacks (Jabs) and they don’t double dip.1 -

As mentioned they will not be buffed twice by lightning staves, but the change also means that they no longer are buffed by fire staves. In the current patch they are buffed by both fire and lightning staves.0
