Tideborn is indeed awesome, but Deadly Strike also buffs Channeled attacks so it can still be used for beams ^_^
This has to be sarcasm, because this changes nothing for pve. Beams are now buffed by vma 2h and tideborn, not to mention their base damage remains unchanged. Arc beam is still going to come out even stronger compared to liveAbilities that are traditionally referred to as “beams” have all been updated to now be considered Direct Damage, rather than Damage over Time. This affects the following abilities;

vma 2h is going to buff every 0.3s tick which will boost damage tremendously. Well I guess getting a buff from VMA two hander is still better than a 25% buff from Grave Lord. But if Beam needs to be nerfed further I hope they do that.

Flame staff is already dead for anything other than as pve bb. And soul strike has been by far the worst ultimate in the game ever since it was unjustifiably massacred. It’s not cheap and hits weaker than a great number of non-ultimate skills. Yeah this breaks tons of synergy out there on any build using Radiant or Soul Assault. Flamestaff will be in a rough spot in PvP.

Tideborn is weaker compared to deadly on arcanist, maelstorm 2h is 12% which is not as good as 25% from necro
Of course beam still needs like 20% damage decrease but it's a step in the right direction

The lack of creativity is ming boggling. Why on tamriel the class must have a cost reduction for summons on passive AND on active skill thats in whole another skill line? A DoT damage increasing passive AND a DoT damage increase on active ability? Why?
