Faster Stable Training

It takes 180 days to full train your stables. That is 45,000 gold.
I would happily pay double if there was an option to do it all in one go and be done with it!

I don't want to use endeavors or crowns
I want to pay with gold because I have an abundance.
I just want the stables over and done with each time I create a new character.

I think you could pay gold for someone to use their crowns to gift you training manuals but it wold be expensive.

Yes you can. it's under fine rewards. Costs 360 endeavours each. I just double checked.

I've always thought an elegant compromise solution would be to allow a player to visit the stablemaster and buy one upgrade per day per each of the three areas. That would reduce the time required to finish from 180 to 60 days.

One of my pet peeves. I don’t mind the gold cost, I just want to get it done in one sitting like every other upgrade.

Mount upgrades in Endeavors, crown purchases, and gems are overpriced.

It takes about 1 weeks worth of Endeavors to get 1 more training book, that's not going to cut a lot of time.

I like that it takes a long time to fully train it up. IMO, there aren't enough things left in ESO that require long term commitment. I just wish the crafting commitment was more rewarding like it used to be.

Be thankful that the training is character specific as opposed to mount specific like it used to be.

They've put enough riding lessons in the daily login rewards lately, that I've banked enough to nearly level a new character. I stick 'em in a coffer 'til I create a new toon. But I don't create new toons all that often, I've been saving them for awhile.

(44 capacity, 47 speed, 32 stamina. 1 more of each coming this month.)

    Ya.

But that's really the problem, all of the other aspects that used to be real grinds have in game equivalents to speed things up a bit.

Even if it were a 24 hour cool down item that would ease a lot of complaints.

I never really like time gating, and this certainly falls into that.

The ideal thing for players to do is create all the characters (different classes/races/alliances) when they first start playing, and then each day, log in with each of those characters to improve their stable training. But that really isn't all that exciting to do or a very good experience, but I see why the time gating exists.

It would be slightly preferable to have it gated by week, so at least one only has to do the login with every character once/week vs once/day (I feel there are already other reasons to log in daily, and I can't imagine the stable training is one the one that is getting people to log in daily). Then maybe increase training to 10/week, just as a round number, which would shave a little time off fully training the stable.

We've been asking for this for years along with a number of other quality of life adjustments.

The problem is is that ZOS's "solution" is to sell it in the crown store. If you put a number of in-game systems under the microscope a bit, you'll notice they're made to be intentionally grindy / boring and you'll see that there's a fix for it being sold to you. It's intentionally done unfortunately.

I think a horse training item with a 20-hr cooldown just like the research scrolls Rolis sells for writ vouchers would be a wonderful idea. Just like the scrolls, you would really have to be on top of it to get much use from it. Like scribing stations, it could be sold for vouchers, AP, archive fortunes. Would give new use for those. Vouchers especially are lacking good uses these days since it seems like we will be getting far fewer crafted sets going forward (much less demand for attunables, which soaked up a lot of vouchers).
