"Golden Pursuit idea is not bad, but GP contents is terrible. "

Dev team had better watch "Angry joe show" of 2014 of ESO review again.

"Seriously" You should watch it again.

When I was Lv40 in 2014, 20 amount of people surrounding Delve boss for
experience point farming. That killed every immersion of playing in those days.
Because it didn't have much contents of those days. I knew it but.....

And, 10 years later, they push against players same situation by GP.

Why? :s

Huge amount of Arcanist keep staying at the Alik'r Desert Dolman. Because it's
effective way of GP farming.

Yea, I know. But.... :*

Just why you couldn't plan better contents for GP mission? :#
My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
I have [1Tough tank] [1StamSorc-DD] [1Necro-DD] [1Real Healer]

But, I'm Tank main player. Recently I'm doing Healer.

I counted 38 activities with 25 to complete for the current GP. If you choose to go to Alik'r dolmens that's kind of a "you" problem, though I agree pretty much everything is trivial or boring. I only like the quests, because the daily crafting writs count and you might do those anyway.

If I could advance 5 steps at a time for doing a vet hard mode DLC dungeon or killing, say, 100 players in Cyro, I would do that. I would want to do something engaging that rewards my skill. Alas, other players might complain about gate-keeping in that case. I think having 38 activities with only 25 to complete is a step in the right direction, though.

I did it in 2 sessions. Love the reward and didn't mind the grind.

The fact they don't modify the timers in delves and dungeons during these event is kind of dumb though. There were 30 people in the delves who all had a timer on their phone clearly (like me) cause everyone started ability spam around 4min50 every time.

The only concern I have is that it is not very new player friendly for people who just joined.

I have been seeing a lot of dungeon speedrun complaints posts lately and this event really trains people to love speedruns of dungeons. In my random group we all agreed on chat that we ever can't play these dungeon normally again now.

Also I saw new people complaining in game chat they didn't get any loot or a light attack in during delves/public dungeons because a lot of people have 40K damage per second on a click.

If they include any difficult activities, there are endless complaints about how the pursuit is too hard and not accessible to everyone and people are being forced to do things... so we get this boring list of completely trivial activities instead.

I hope zos notices that there are *still* the same complaints about it being too difficult anyway, and for the next one they consider also including some more options that veteran players might find remotely engaging. (While of course still leaving a range of activities that everyone can complete).

Speaking for myself, I would much rather run a vet dungeon than stand in a delve waiting for a boss that i can one-shot to spawn, so including more interesting activities for vets might actually remove some of the competition for the low-end activities and make them easier for new players to complete too.

I agree. It would be nice if there where 10 trials instead of just one. It was the first thing I completed because that was the most fun one for me. I it was also the one that gave me the most benefits as end gamer. Slaughterstones to sell, mats from already collected loot and 2 new tings for my stickerbook + the GP completion mark.

I don't like this one with a house reward only because some people are going to be left out. With a house as a reward for tickets, people have a chance to get it even if they have an emergency that means they can't play for a couple of weeks.

Suppose someone got hit by a car today and is fighting for their life or just had a baby or has scheduled surgery or had a family member die or millions of other situations. These people may lose out on a good reward because getting the reward is limited to one month. I'd prefer that rewards like houses not be so limited in time so those people who are having their hardest month ever have a better chance to make it work.

Man if you could get even two from dlc dungeons instead of 5, that would've been awesome. People will complain about everything though. I saw one person complain that the house exterior was no clean looking enough for their taste. The GP could've just been log in and folks would complain. Which is perfectly ok but also funny.

I rather think if someone is fighting for their life or has some other major irl event going on, the last thing they're going to care about is a cosmetic item in a game. There are plenty of time-limited things, other Houses that were offered for free and then got released again in the future in the CS. If someone is worried about what cosmetics they might be missing out on when there are actual serious irl things going on...that's the point where the game becomes an addiction.

    ---

Anyway I think they should have made certain things general instead of specific, like the Delves, but I don't get the people claiming it's too hard or too much or they can't get the target number of Pursuits done in time when for the most part a lot of them are fairly easy and quick. They might be boring but isn't everyone always saying "if you want X or Y suck it up and do the content" when people complain about needing to do something like PvP for a reward they want?

My one complaint is that people take too long to decide how to play cards in tales of tribute. Also, that there is no tales of tribute chat.

Sometimes, I just want to speed run the game for the pursuit or endeavor. And if it says I just need to play, that means I don't have to win. I just want to get through as many as possible without penalties.

If you want the game to end faster (without your win), you can simply end your turn immediately without making any moves. That usually an indication of your intent to the opponent.

I wish you could play NPC's for the TOT part. Seems like some ppl just run timer out so others will fold.

But there are a lot of ways to get this reward. Maybe a little grindy but .... this reward is really NICE!

Dude... people gotta set their priorities. RL always comes first over virtual pixels. If I got hit by a car and fighting for my life... the last thing on my mind is to complete the golden pursuit to win a virtual house... I would be praying to God to help save my life. This might come out as sounding harsh, but life goes on.. even during personal tragedies.

I feel bad for anyone having a rough month, especially when they're having medical issues... but dealing with your medical crises is by far more important than playing video games online. Your health comes first. Yes, you're gonna lose out, but life isn't fair. Just like homeless people don't have access to computers.

I think the other thing that needs pointing out is that we have, what, 28 days total to complete? Wait a week or two; those delves and other activities won't be as busy.

    I agree with @LadyLethalla

I did two of the three delve boss pursuits today. I purposefully picked the hardest delve to get to in each zone but still found myself waiting and hovering over my attack button among at least half a dozen other players. For the two zones I did today, that is farming 2 bosses five times each. Six in my case since, a delve boss goes down so fast with so many players on it that I didn't get credit twice.

I'm gonna wait a week or so before trying the third zone and hope the delve overcrowding eases.

That said, I quite like this Golden Pursuits overall. :)

I'm just tired of "reward pursuit type of contents". Really feel disgusting already. :s:#

Dev team made "grouping tools", that system solved fake tank problem, and
make the "Trial contents" more open field contents for casual players, especially
for the non MMO fan players.
(Honestly say, why dev didn't do this in 2014.)

    Well, thanks. But....

90% grouping tool is "gear farming purpose", they just want gear.
People do not enjoy activity itself, people just do the "chore" only for the reward.

It is almost zero rate to meet people who want to explore secret aspect of dungeon only for
enjoying contents in grouping tools. People just want to make the group only for getting
    things done easily.

How about make the house reward just daily log-in bonus? (LoL)
Then, no one complain against it. :D

Some of flaw of 2014 is already solved, well good job.
But, some of "Angry joe show of 2014 of ESO review" is never solved.

I still feel things as "chore", except housing contents.

Wanna make the bus come faster? Light a cigarette. When I was younger and still took the bus, it worked every time. I assume you're talking delve and pd bosses. Start doing something else irl and boom. The boss comes to life. 😉
